[quit] the fault of the brave-hearted

I regret to say that there is no longer any incentive for me to remain in the RP community of Tumblr (at least, none as of late.) At this point, the prospect of even quitting Tumblr entirely has become quite the tempting option for me. @_@

I will, however, leave this blog up for my perusing pleasure, as some of the threads I’ve written here still hold a special place in my heart. There are, however, some very important things I’d like to reiterate for all of you who’ve stuck around.

1) My OCs’ relationships with yours will remain valid, and dear to me.

My headcanons will not die, and neither will the scenarios we’ve so enthusiastically played out. However, the fact that such a promise comes off so flimsily on a website such as Tumblr is part of the reason why I’m turning in my unofficial resignation. 

Though I’ve been let down my numerous people in the past with regards to this, I can vouch that the relationships we’ve nurtured will remain a substantial part of not just my RP experience, but the core from which all these beautiful interactions have surfaced — my mind and heart.

Of course, if you’d still like to continue nurturing them with me, I’d be more than happy to oblige — just not on Tumblr. :D

2) Though I have quit RP-ing on Tumblr, I will continue to RP on the following platforms (in order of activity):

Sunlight shone through the cafe window as Colette leaned back on her chair, watching upside-down her friend, Mana Evans, wipe down the previously occupied tables. The sound of chatter and laughter seemed like but a dream now, now that most students had left, leaving unspoken thoughts and silence in their wake.

Just another slow time, Colette supposed, listening to the footsteps of her friend when the door opened again. 

"Welcome!" Mana called out. Colette closed her eyes. "I’ll be with you in a moment-" She gasped.

Opening her eyes, Colette picked up, cutting through the sudden silence. “Mana, what’s wrong-” She sat up, turning to face the customers with a bright smile.

They hadn't. 

"OUTTA THE WAY!!!!"

And then, came the deafening holler, one that turned to ruins what remained of the serenity that once lingered so alluringly in the quaint atmosphere of the cafe. With the unwelcome vocal ambush came a frenetic flurry of motions, all revolving around a figure that came darting through the maze of tables, chairs and every other appurtenance that graced the cozy interior.

It wasn't long before he skidded to a halt at the centre of the cafe, panting noisily from the exertion of running for God knows how long. "Phew-- okay, no way in hell that guy'll find us-- oh, heya, Colette." At the sight of his partner-in-mischief, the copper-haired intruder immediately flopped down into a seat next to her, flashing a toothy grin as though nothing had happened. "Sooooo, how's--"

"Mothwing." A gloved hand slammed itself onto the table, cutting off the blithe words in an upsurge of authority. "The second he comes in here, you're going to be the one to ex--," he faltered for a while, pupils flicking across the room with a sudden hike in awareness, ".... plain...."

ƸӜƷ — The voice that came echoing back was surprisingly hollow… though not uncharacteristically such. He’d been hollow for a great deal of his lifetime, shifting back and forth between the illusion of wholeness and the grudging acceptance of the lack thereof.

He felt nascent cries clog up the tunnel of his throat, denying him his right to steady breaths and wispy words of ambiguity that might have hurt significantly less. His expression remained eerily fixed, framed around the casual mood he’d intended to fake all the way, though hints of a storm churning relentlessly underneath bubbled through on occasion — through the cracks in his empty smile and the chasms beneath his copper-laden gaze. 

Hollow, hollow all the way.

"I just…," he began, before realizing (with a sudden tinge of panic) that his stock of half-baked distractions had completely run dry.

Her throat constricted as if the emotions welling in her core had clawed hands that gripped her neck with a malicious vice, intent on breaking her and revealing her raw and ugly self to the world——to him. Tears began to gather in the corners of her eyes, each drop containing all the wretched feelings that plagued her——that made her despair over how pitiful she was——and Sakura swallowed a sob, still resisting the affliction of the heart that had damaged them both.

Whatever happened to our hearts, my love?

Her nose turned pink and her cheeks flushed with the onslaught of tears that began to ravage her facade——so it had failed her, after all——and though she cursed her slipping composure, the tumultuous affection that she desperately tried to smother making its way to the surface in a rushing flood, one that she could not control.

"Yeah," he uttered again, and once again, not a hint of himself came with the hollow chunk of noise masquerading as a word. It wasn't long, however, before a tinge of mania settled in, seeping through his senses like a swelling drop of venom.

Sakura rubbed her arm, eyes cast downwards, staring into a vast nothingness only she could see.

He started to glow, but that was least of her worries- normally, humans aren’t supposed to be luminscient, but considering her daily encounters with the supernatural, a glowing human being would count for normal. More importantly, he was the help. She didn’t know him, but trusting him seemed to be the only option now.

"They were-they tortured him, they used blades, they were going to kill him.  This shouldn’t have happened to him- this is my fault, I should’ve been in his place, I was the one who- Please save him. I can’t lose him- he’s my partner, he’s my friend and I can’t do this with him-"

His logical mind took the liberty of casting curses on his conscience -- hexes to silence the visceral reactions that ravaged its core, fighting desperately for a chance to manifest. Fortunately, the totality of the gruesome sights he'd seen up until then had proven more than beneficial in fortifying his mental barriers. 

As seconds filed dutifully past, ever-so-loyal to the absolution of time, the aura in which he'd encased himself intensified, and at once, he directed a portion of the energy along the abstract valves through which they flowed, straight to the tips of his battle-hardened fingers. Holding his jacket in his place, he placed a single, glowing finger onto the drenched fabric, lightly tracing the extent of Merle's wounds as he let the energy seep through. With these careful motions, he slowly sealed up the incisions, working meticulously across his tattered body in the fashion of a seasoned craftsman. 

She didn’t know where they were. But that didn’t matter- all that mattered was the life breathing, shuttering, living, bleeding profoundly in her lap. His body was littered with cut and stab wounds and bruises that bloomed into purple flowers.

Merle.

This was all her fault.

"Merle? Merle." CANDLE Agent Cerys Whitlock repeated, trembling as she grasped her partner’s hand caked in blood. Some of it soaked into her own clothing. She didn’t care.

Blearily, Merle blinked before groaning in pain. “Cerys…? You didn’t-“

"I’m sorry Merle." She answered, unsuccessfully blinking back tears. "They were going to kill you and I couldn’t let that happen. I couldn’t- I can’t lose you-"

"It’s okay…" He cut her off with a soft, gentle voice. With his other hand, he cupped his partner’s cheek, slowly thumbing away the tears at the corner of her eyes. "It’s fine, I’m fine-" 

He coughed violently, a spurt of blood oozing out. Frantically, Cerys laid him flat on the ground as she ripped her sweater off to press it against one of Merle’s wounds.

"Hang in there, Merle. Ye going to be just fine; ye just haveta stay awake. Don’t close ye eyes, stay with me, Merle- MERLE!" He had closed his eyes then as if in resignation to his fate. Cerys froze as the world shattered at her feet. She threw her head back and screamed at the heavens. Begging. Pleading.

they are stalking peoples’ personal tags/posts and targeting people who have expressed struggles with depression, self harm, and suicide attempts, and other similar struggles and are preying on those people to purposely push themselves into suicide and self harm

it should also be noted this isn’t a typical case of “i think i am a cool kid” bullying who gets scared and guilty and leaves when they see a reaction

this person has genuinely enjoyed seeing others hurt and hospitalized (and some people HAVE been hospitalized.) their actions have only increased and they’ve only gotten bolder and more cruel the more they see their actions are working.

this person genuinely enjoys not only pushing people into self harm and suicide, but actually succeeding, as they’ve only gotten bolder after a few people have actually harmed themselves. they know exactly what they are doing. any negative/distressed reaction has only encouraged them so far.

if you get a message from this person, it’s honestly probably best not to respond considering how much they have loved negative/sad/angry/distressed reactions. track their ip address if you can or something to try to report them, not just to tumblr but to authorities that can actually do something about this person in real life, and block them

also do not believe them if they claim to be your neighbor and/or know you in real life. they have claimed this to several users, and obviously it’s not true seeing as no one can be neighbors to multiple different people living in multiple different locations.
