Heroic Bravado and Demonic Wrath!

Val shook away her brief surprise when the girl called her out.

"huh? O-Oh! Right! Yeah I gotcha!"

With a flick of her wrist she launched three electric cards towards the beast that was still trying to wrestle the hand away... And in that moment it was given a rather large shock throughout its body! Along with a lightning bolt landing directly on top of it for extra good measure! You can thank the 10 card for that.

It was completely stunned and unable to move. Every time it tried to, the electricity held it back. This led to a perfect opportunity for Valerie to use her other item, the Chaos Dice. She reached in her pocket rolled them in her hands and prepared to toss.

"C'mon... Mama needs a get out of jail free card!"

With a single decently powerful throw, she launched the 2 six-sided die into the creature, and as they hit? A large number nine appeared above the creature... Leading to Valerie giving a little smirk... As she watched the large beastial creature suddenly started levitating off of the ground... Looking around very confused as the ground continued to escape its grasp...

It kept floating and floating, until it realized there was no getting back to the ground. In a moment of panic the creature created a portal above itself that was dark and shadowy as a way to escape back into its own dimension, And as it slipped away the portal closed...

Valerie took a deep breath... And just as quickly exhaled it releasing all the stress she was holding back. The bravado she held with that smirk immediately dissipated.

"Yeeeeah that was way too close for comfort... " A deep sigh escapes her. "You're pretty tough for a little brat huh, Handlebars?"

"Hmph. You're not so bad yourself even if you did need bailing out at the last-" Wait a second....

What was taking Nora so long? They had agreed to meet in this location with Yugo... though as Yugo would most likely eventually use a portal, another would be carefully placed over it to teleport him somewhere else. Yugo standing on top of a tree, a small sign nearby that'd read, 'Took you long enough'. Followed by calm laughter filling the forest in an echo, just like as they met before.

Of course, his thoughts ended up a bit scrambled when he suddenly stumbled into Nora's cleverly laid portal.

"W-Whoa! What the-!?" Yugo almost lost his grip on the bag of ingredients but managed to steady himself and take a big sigh of relief. He had an idea who was responsible for this lil prank, and that ringing laugh just confirmed his suspicions. Stepping inside, he scoffed playfully at Nora's teasing words.

"Alright, here it comes then!"

"OmigoshOmigoshOmigosh! Thatwasfriggin'awesome!Ifeltallthatrawpowerinthatattack!TenouttaTenforit!" Yeah it sounds like that attack gave her too much 'fuel', as erratic electricity sparked off her body and scorched the earth around her feet. "Oh.Whoops.Guessi'malilovercharged. Takeastepbacksweetiegottaunloadallthisexcesscharge!"

Amelia quickly held up both her hands, palms pointed up at the cloudy sky above. What followed next was an enormous bolt of lightning that cleaved several clouds in twain as it tore it's way up into the atmosphere before dying out in the depths of space. If Amy had aimed it at a moon or planet instead....best not to think about it.

What she did focus on was the fact that this child just knocked aside this giant beast surprisingly easily. It wasn't down for the count though.

"...I didn't think anybody else could hear that...er I mean Dang, kid! Uh... Thanks for the save I guess... Even if it was delivered with a side of sass-parilla."

That second part was said a little bit under her breath but still loud enough.

She looked out at the creature seeing that it was getting back up...

"Normally what exists of my conscience would be against the idea of a random child wanting to jump in to fight a shadowy behemoth... But something tells me you ain't a normal kid so..."

With a little motion of her hand she pulled out several yellow Spade symbol cards that were sparking with electricity. The motion was very sleight of the hand magician-y. These cards would give the creature a good stun.

"Think you can keep it occupied while I line up a shot?"

"Tch. Is that all? Easy peasy, watch this~" Beebz turned and ran at the beast, looking like she intended to get into a head on collision! But, Beebz's hair started to change into a sky-blue hue as demonic energy swirled around her like a vortex.

Valerie was currently fighting against what appeared to be a very massive Embodiment of Chaos. The monster could best be described as a hulking mass of a creature made out of Dark shadows with jagged teeth and a single hole in the front of their face that gave the illusion of an eye. This one was bestial large and quadruped and was trying to ram into her with as much force as it could.

However Valerie countered by turning herself invisible with her special cloak, causing the creature to lose sight of her.

With the creature briefly dumbfounded she revealed herself behind it and tossed out some diamond suit cards that exploded into ice, freezing the creature's feet in place.

"I'd tell you to cool it... But looks like you did... That... Already...yeah..." And she ruined the joke by dragging it out.

However very shortly after her poor attempt at a joke... The ice around the creature's feet began cracking... And with a single strong push, it broke free from its icy shackles and began running towards her again

"Yo! Now's not the time for a 'Deer in the headlights' impression, dumbass!" The mysterious figure called out to Valerie, before slamming full force into the creature to try and knock it aside. Hoping her attack bought them some time, the mysterious figure, who landed next to Valerie, turned out to be....some bratty lookin' kid!

"Ugh, that thing's uglier up close than I thought. No wonder it's so cranky. I'd be pissed too if I looked like that. Still though, can't have that thing throwin' a fit all over the place..." The last thing she wanted to see while out shoppin' for sweets was innocent people gettin' hurt! "Tell ya what...how's about I help you kick this thing's ass?"

"I can have fun. Depends on the people around me though...but anyways." He stopped for a moment, pursing his lips as if he wanted to stop himself from blurting out something he really shouldn't.

To hell with it. He probably was going to regret this, but who knows?

Amelia is processing what she just heard, please wait warmly! Processing....processing....Actually I think she might be bro-

*DING!*

Amelia lets out the most enthusiastic, adorable squeal as she started jumping for joy.

"Omigosh, for real!? Really?! You wanna see my precious lil devils? Awwwww I thought you'd never ask! Oh this is all so sudden, I don't even have enough time to prepare but....oh what the heck, let's just wing it and see where it goes! Speaking of which, I gotta keep some of this a surprise for ya. Let's see...what's the best way to get ya through a Dimensional Gate?"

Amelia was throwing things out of her hammerspace inventory, looking for just the right thing. Spears, an anchor, a gun or two, a portable microwave, and a bunch of other junk littered the floor before she found what she was looking for. She was hiding whatever it was behind her back, shooting Malik a mischievous grin. "Ok Malik, I'm ready to take ya there. But first, you gotta promise not to open your eyes or chicken out, ok? It's gotta be a suuuuuuupriiiiiise~"

Doing a running jump, the Castle Thing would have to wait she guessed, because of course it did. Yet another problem would arise, Madeline late to the party, but quite literally had done a super dash off the chains to Beebz location. Getting the general idea and only catching a glimpse of what their dad was doing before leaving, Madeline landing next to Beebz as backup shortly after her daughter's speech, "Well- so much for benefit of the doubt." Again, of course he had to be 'a tyrant', why did it always play out this way?

No matter.

The Mountain Fae arguably wasn't this intimidating being so short, but she certainly could sound like it. Her voice akin to a growling yet scratchy banshee when enraged, Beebz probably only hearing this once or twice if she had been especially bad or cruel to another person, but it was directed at their enemies usually, "You're going to turn around right now to your 'King' or I'm going to beat you into the ground, then I'll use you to beat some sense into that bastard." The soldiers did not relent being used to demons, if anything? The resistance had only emboldened them to be far more fierce, but at least their attention was on Madeline and Beebz.

Either way, Beebz wasn't going to let Madeline have all the fun. Like a whirlwind, she was sending soldiers flying into the air and splashing into the water with every punch, kick and shoulder tackle. There was a fire behind her eyes, and she was taking all her anger and confusion out on these soldiers....

Ragnar's men weren't having any luck in stopping the whirlwind duo, and morale was quickly plummeting thanks to Madeline literally beating them senseless with their own men. They were hurriedly making a beeline to their ships in record time, some straight up ditching their weapons and armor in order to swim for the safety of their boats! As they fled, Beebz was throwing rocks at them and yelling every obscene curse she knew at them, not caring if Madeline heard her. She was just...too enraged and confused to give a damn. Finally, once the ships were out of sight, Beebz stopped to catch her breath along the island shore before falling over onto her behind, completely spent.

Beebz looked at her shaking hands before sighing dejectedly.

"....That.....That was definitely my dad. No doubt about it...the uh....the resemblance is pretty uncanny, huh Mom?" Beebz was trying to be strong and force a smile...but her pale face told the true story. "I....I guess I was pretty naive and stupid for thinking my dad would be a decent guy." She wondered, briefly, if they should just pack up and head back home...but that would mean leaving without answers and letting a monster like her father to run loose.

"Mom, I...I don't know what to do. This whole trip didn't plan out the way I wanted to at all. But...we can't just leave, now that I know what my Da-I mean...what Ragnar's really like." She looked back some of the islanders, families tearfully reuniting now that the danger had passed...or at least she assumed they were crying...she finally noticed they were all wearing masks...probably because of that literal eye in the sky, courtesy of Ragnar's floating castle. She wondered what the other islands in Ragnar's Rock were like, how many innocent people suffering under her father's iron fist...

Another day had gone by rather uneventful, thankfully, for the environment he was in. It had quite a while since any chaos had entered into his life, and he preferred it that way. From chasing a headless body running like a chicken, to his more risqué escapades, Malik had grown to enjoy his time in the court.

Just never try to make him admit it, and everyone will be happy. But even then, who cannot thrive off a little chaos here and there? His boredom grew rapidly, so he began to seek out whoever may be available at the current time. Thankfully so, there happened to be an ex-thief nearby. Where exactly? Who knows. Could be in the walls, or on the ceiling? Perhaps behind a painting or underneath a table.

"Aw come on Malik, don't be such a stick in the mud. You know that I'm an official member of the Court now....more or less anyways! No need to tease me with that 'alarm' nonsense." Granted, she's on 'probation' because of all her past shenanigans...

Amelia let go of the rope and landed on her feet with a flourish, shooting Malik a cheeky wink.

"Uh, hold on, are you sure about that?"

Iskra could appreciate the enthusiasm, but even she wasn't about to go electrocuting folks who weren't asking for it. Then again, this woman didn't exactly strike her as... typical. Maybe she really could take it.

"Aw shucks, thanks for the concern hun, but trust me, I'll be right as rain!" Amelia gave Iskra a hearty, if a bit overenthusiastic, pat on the back that nearly knocked her over.

"Now come on, time's a wastin'! Pop me right in the kisser with your strongest move, oh oh oh and make it flashy too! If you gotta shout the name of your attack, all the better too!" She was looking forward to this way too much.
