Experiencing social media is extremely painful these days because of the sheer ignorance of people worldwide. To many, IRGC is a hero (just because it opposed israel. And all these many people know about what's been happening in middle east is two words, 'free palestine') It's the champion of islam (that it is). In their eyes if we rejoice in the loss of IRGC's football team we're considered either not Iranians or traitors to our nation. To many, anyone who speaks against IRGC is automatically a zionist, a jew (and since when is that an insult?), a mossad agent or a bot. They claim to know the truth better than those of us who are actually living in it, meanwhile all they've been exposed to is IRGC propaganda and they refuse to budge. They rage and call us islamophobes when we criticize what they believe in (shouldn't that be a warning for you when your ideology doesn't accept criticism?) But they forget, we've been muslims for better parts of our lives. They forget that Iran has been under an extremist islamic regime for 47 years (and has been introduced to islam since the islamic conquest of Persia almost two thousand years ago) So you can't call us ignorant or wrong or simply misled, because we know it and we've read and studied the books and we've experienced it. We had to. The irony is when we were young and all we knew was islam, the entire world was against it. Now that we've matured enough to know, the entire world protects it. (But you know what's hypocritical about that? These protectors who are raging for equal freedom for everyone would never want to live the same way or become muslims themselves because they'd have to lose their own freedom in the process.)
But okay, if you're so adamant to protect your islam, that's your choice and none of my business. If that's the case though, then at least stop assuming to know the horrific nightmare that is IRGC's islam. Stop protecting what you don't know. You're sitting in another country with all your rights preserved and presume you know the rules we are forced to live by and deem it fair? Did you know islamic republic's founder wrote that it'd be okay to sexually enjoy touching a freaking baby, an infant? Did you know that if we eat or drink something in public in Ramadan we can be arrested and whipped for it? Do you know what they do to women if they don't have the mandatory hijab? Did you know the only reason we can show our hair these days without being shoved into a fucking van is because of the woman life freedom movement and what happened to Mahsa Amini? Did you know homosexuality is a sin here and punishable by death? (As it is everywhere in islamic countries) Have you ever walked in your streets on a normal day while forced to look at irgc men holding guns every fucking where?
Are you assuming I'm lying or exaggerating? Are you still close minded and refuse to change your mind? Then please just block me because I'm sick and tired of not being believed about something I'm actively living in. And resume your free palestine movements but stop harassing Persians who are practicing their own freedom of speech by protesting and speaking against the regime. (And I'm not gonna comment on the free palestine movement because I know I'm not informed enough to express my opinion about it. I have ideas of course, most of which many won't like. But am I gonna say them as soon as they're formed in my mind? No. I'm human enough to admit that. Are you? I don't think you are because most of the abuse persians are facing these days comes directly from pro palestinians. Is it because we didn't blame or opposed it when israel started a war with IRGC? Because in your minds the state that stands opposite israel must be the innocent underdog that needs to be made into a hero? Or is it because islamic republic is the only thing you know that has chanted again and again for decades ‘death to Israel’? (Along with of course ‘death to America’ and ‘death to England’ and ‘death to dissenters’ (there goes that freedom)) Almost like a formula that you can apply to everything. Sadly that's not how the world works.)
I've said this before and I'll say it again: if you prefer to undermine one massacre, one tragic event and truth, just to keep another one (yours) in the light then you should know something isn't right, that that is not humanity! You don't shoot down the blood of tens of thousands in another country just because you're afraid people would forget about you. You SHARE the fucking spotlight with your fellow humans.
That is humanity. Not whatever it is that you're preaching.
