I'm exhausted. Like genuinely mentally weary and about one more problem away from breaking down.
I haven't posted as much about what goes on in my country recently but I haven't forgotten. I've not gone "back to normal". To be honest with you, there was no normal to begin with. I've been exhausted and sad and angry for a very long time.
It felt like every unfair thing in the world is happening to us and then people watched it in passing, made the stupidest comment possible and moved on with their lives. But I'm stuck there. Me and everyone I know and love, we're stuck there. And everyday I witness the escalations, the exacerbation of every sharp horrible thing that can happen to us, to the point that the country's unlivable and I have to sit and just get tangled in a loop of what the hell is gonna happen from now on.
I'm tired. And so are everyone I know. We wake up to news of executions, bombing, insane inflation, and new videos of the ones we lost in January while the ones we lost even before that day, years before to different protests, still live on in our heads. I don't think they'd ever leave.
Nothing's been normal for a very long time. I have no normal to go back to. All I can do is breath, one day at a time.
