i've been a bit at my limit mentally and creatively because (gestures at terrible situation we all know about) but i've been trying to power through things. this week i just needed a bit of a mental break so i thought i'd introduce people actually to the thing i'm writing or whatever. unless you've been here and already read it. it is a bit edited on there, just minor words and phrases or whatever but yknow.

amon sidles back up next to hya and says, offhandedly, “i suppose that behavior is why he cheats.” — further drawing attention to his observation abilities. hya hardly even grunts, but says. “he’s been cheating since before they were wed apparently.” 

“aren’t you going to ask me how i know that?” amon says.

“if i cared to know my half-sister’s love life, i would’ve told her to get a divorce by now”

“he keeps looking at his pocket watch because he surely has an appointment to keep.” amon decides to tell hya anyway. “and i believe i saw him looking intently at another man during your wedding. the way even he looked at me screamed of attraction.”

to this hya does look up, expression hard to read but seemingly unimpressed. “are you fishing for compliments butler? it hardly suits you.”

“that depends on who’s casting the line.” amon chimes. “are you, my lord?”

“i am not calling you handsome.”

“but you aren’t calling me hideous either.” amon is having far too much fun with this.

“the bar is in hell and you expect praise that you cross it?”

WHY: for a lot of reasons. as many of you know i'm jobless and broke and scared right now. i literally don't have money for bills and i have no clue how i'm going to be able to stay in my apartment or get food. nothing is certain. and in that uncertainty it forces you to... try new things? this publication currently isn't paid, though perhaps and hopefully in the future--i'd love to make money on what i love doing. but i mostly need to give myself reasons to keep living right now. this novel, and you all, the people who have listened to me rant about this book for 2 years (then i nuked my blog and revamped it) have all been really special and important to my continued existence. so, it would mean a lot to me if you gave this a read, or shared it with someone you think would be interested.

HOW: well, i'll be writing articles while i continue to edit, evaluate feedback from alpha readers, do school, side hustle, and beg for money all at the same time. i'm really at the fuck it we ball stage of life lmao
