god this rewatch is really illuminating how often Dean's dialogue when he's posturing and threatening enemies is... him literally just quoting badass-sounding lines from action movies. if you don't happen to watch a lot of action flicks and don't check the reference, it sounds like Dean is just full of piss and vinegar but no. he's just a nerd stealing lines from much cooler guys. 10/10 incredible character trait

he's not a real action hero, he just plays one on TV.

I finished project hail mary! It was so good. The power of friendship really is magic. Speaking of friendship... I know we influence and share language with our friends, but I was sad that Rocky's language was different at the very end, not ending questions with "question" Rocky's way of speaking was so charming to meI zoned in on the difference immediately and was a little sad to see it go. Still, a great tale of friendship featuring microbiology and emotional distress. What's not to love? I'm not sure when I'll coordinate to watch the movie but it will be soon.
