about this story... y/n grew up in a toxic household that deeply effected her. when she finally got out, she thought her mental state would improve — but it didn’t. In LA, she gets by through modeling and DJing, but struggles to make friends, unable to fake enthusiasm for long unless she’s drunk or high behind the DJ booth, where no one is really paying attention. things shift when she meets nett, he shows up one night while she’s DJing, something about her pulling him in. he asks if she knows who he is; when she says no, he tells her to play his music. after she does and admits she likes it, he reveals it’s him — earning a rare smile from her. they grow close after that and she opens up about her struggles with depression and her past, and he tells her about how being hated on by fans and constantly worrying about how he’s perceived has effected his mental health. They start hooking up after that, but remain friends, realizing they both need someone to lean on.
