i cant explain it properly but theres a really specific way i view pieces of media eg. games, shows, etc. before it's tainted by the fandom/spoilers/mysteries or questions i collect as i go thru it. and this specific way of viewing fun little media is the reason why i get into stuff in the first place. but when i look up its tags on maybe ao3, twt, tt, here on tumblr, etc and see how the fandom interprets them, see how much they fight over petty and small stuff, get spoiled on big plot twists/events, how MISCHARACTERIZED they are and etc all of that goes away and suddenly i dont feel that much for the media now :( like the entire air of mystery around the thing that has me curious like a moth to a flame goes away and i can never see the piece of media like that ever again
