Who’s Here?

Seán O’Brian (Full Bio Here)

A 32-year old grifter, used to ride with Mason Kelly before he overheard Kelly talking about something that was not meant for his ears. Kelly proceeded to shoot Seán’s left ear off and put a bullet between his ribs, leaving him for death.

Caleb found him and Seán all too gladly joined the Hellshire Gang.

Tommy Burke (Full Bio Here)

A 33-years old serial arsonist and explosives expert. Warden Lowell preferred to have him under Caleb’s wing than risk him actually managing to make explosives out of the food served in prison. Again.

Finley O’Connor (Fuller Bio Here)

The gang’s baby. A 17-year old orphaned pickpocket and safecracker the warden urged Caleb to keep an eye on when the kid was but 13.

Horse: Caboose (Buckskin Missouri Foxtrotter) (Former Horse: Loreley, they parted when she had a foal)

Charlie Mulligan

39-years old, part-time burglar, full-time spiritualist and gambler (quite a cheat). Better with the cards when interacting with the deceased than with the living.

Josie McKee

Not a member of the Gang, but Caleb’s oldest friend and current owner of the rebuild Dead Dawg Saloon (until the former owner returns, according to Josie).

Grady Matthews

46 years of age, former stage-coach robber and cattle-thief. Married recently, really a soft soul (can and will rip someone’s arm off if the situation demands it, though)

Teague O’Leary

43-years old professional bankrobber (not good with money however), part-time lawyer and quite some ladies’ man.

The Ballad of Devil’s Creek - Information Post

The West is Wild and the West is Weird. Take up the role of an outlaw who gets wrapped up in an adventure of a lifetime. Face bounty hunter, ghosts and a doomsday cult as you travel cross the Old West, trying prevent the end of the world at the hands of eldritch horrors.

‘The Ballad of Devil’s Creek is an Interactive Novel WiP set in an alternate timeline of the ‘Old West’. It is to be published under Choice of Games’ Hosted Games label.

A new century is around the corner, and you are an outlaw traversing the towns and terrains of the Frontier, only to one evening get wrapped up in chasing down the means to stop a doomsday cult from bringing forth the end of days.

You’ll have to deal with hustlers, grifters, gunslingers and vengeful brides as you make your way to the ghost town of Devil’s Creek to find answers, and hopefully get out of there alive.

Minor Update 06/13/21:

Fixed some minor bugs

added option to say whether or not the MC drinks alcohol

added option to play a little prank on Seán when you first meet + setting your pronouns title and address anew after that

changed one of the possible first names to not clash with the horses.

Major Update 06/11/2021:

Uploaded Ch3.

Various Bug- and Typo-Fixes.

GAME FAQ:

1: What can I play as?

- You can play as cis, trans, non-binary and genderfluid. Inputting your own pronouns and addresses is also possible.

2: How many ROs are there and what are they like?

- Currently there are 6 ROs. Two women, 4 men. They’ll be added to this post as soon as their Bios go up.

3: I played the demo… The title and these characters seem familiar…

- No surprise. They come from a Dead By Daylight fanfic the author is writing. They are too darling to not let them have another adventure.

4: Does the author have other games?

- Nothing published yet, but the Magnum Opus ‘Curious Cuisine’, a superhero and cooking themed slice-of-life adventure, can be found HERE.

OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES:

- Asks to tell us about your MCs, hope for the story, headcanons etc are ALWAYS welcome, as are fanart and fanfics (tag them as ‘the ballad of devil’s creek’)

- If we cannot check your blog for any reason, we will block you.
