Batman fan art - Classic Korean art style

Okay dudes in the notes, just so we’re clear on this: Yeah, this is great fanart and really cool redesigns. But this really isn’t ‘how Batman Ninja should have looked’, okay?

The artist is Korean. Ninjas are Japanese and Batman Ninja is an AU set in feudal Japan. This is traditional Korean Joseon-era period clothing. I assure you that we didn’t have any ninjas, and it’d be weird to depict characters living in ancient Japan wearing hanbok, especially because of Japan’s history of violent subjugation of Koreans and their rampant anti-Korean sentiment even in modern day. It’s not cool to conflate our cultures together, even as a really well-meaning compliment. All East Asians aren’t the same. A more apt and polite compliment would be something like, “This is a cooler Asian interpretation than Batman Ninja,” or even just “This guy is a better designer than professional animation studios.”

Anyway, don’t mix up entirely separate cultures, or else little Doryeonnim Damian is gonna come to your house and stab you.
