I’m back again with my February Favourites. I’ve decided to change this from a monthly video on evielovesit on YouTube to a monthly blog post instead. So get ready, guys and gals, for the better kind of monthly treat with my favourites!

First off I have these Real Techniques brushes that my boyfriend treated me to back in the middle of February. He bought them on amazon for £14.90, which is such a brilliant price for the brilliant brushes. In the set you get; a multi task brush, a tapered foundation brush, an angled highlighter brush, a base shadow brush, a fine line brush and a make up travel bag!
After using these I have seen the light and realised that a whole make-up look can change by the quality of the brush. I love each brush for its individual qualities with no favourites! I wouldn’t be fair! I love them and would definitely buy more Real Techniques brushes in the future. So worth it!
Next up in beauty is the No7 Airbrush Away Colour Balancing Primer. I have quite red cheeks and it shows quite bright under my No7 foundation. However when I used this primer it pretty much vanished which is so so good! It also comes out green which is a little odd at first but it blends in so well the colour is soon forgotten. I would definitely recommend the product to anyone that has redness as it has become a essential in my everyday routine.
Another primer! I’ve found this Collection Illuminating and Reviving Eye Primer to really work on me. I have slightly hooded eyelids so I used to find eye shadow to crease become really messy. Now it does not crease at all. Really it’s changed my whole eye make-up routine!
Now, you guys know that I’m new to the whole bronzer thing… and I think I found a product that really works for me. This Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder is a really good match for my skin and glides on like a dream. It acts well as both a bronzer and contour and would totally recommend it for anyone that’s trying out with bronzer and still new to the whole thing, like me. It also smells absolutley amazing, so that is an added bonus!
The Miss Sporty Studio Lash The Miaoww Look Eyeliner is my new favourite piece in my make-up bag. It makes winged eyeliner absolute child’s play and that makes me sooooo happy! As you could probably see in my latest video, I use a great technique to get my winged eyeliner but having the felt tip eyeliner really does help. Even though this drugstore eyeliner is £.2.99 it feels a lot more expensive and, in my opinion, could rival any other eyeliner like it.
I haven’t painted my nails many times over Feb, but when I have I’ve used this New Look Pure Colour Matte in Dark Red. I love Matte nail vanishes! I think they look so lovely in the winter and gives your nails a bit more texture. Plus New Look nail vanishes dry so quickly, which is a win for me as I have so little patience. It lasts about 3-5 days so really good for lasting too – I’ve currently had it on for 3 days and no chips!
These hair invisibobbles have changed my life! I bought a pack of six in three colours in Primark but they’re pretty much available anywhere.
The idea of invisibobbles is that they leave less of a kink in hair and I have to say that it is true. Ok, yeah, there’s still a little kink but not the full on staircase that usually would be in my hair. I love these bobbles so I would recommend for anyone with really thick and heavy long hair like me.
I have a new found love for buying my bras from M&S. I used to buy them from Primark… but they had a life span of about a month. So I thought I would try bras from M&S and they are working well so far! I have to buy from the DD+ range so I do find it hard to buy bras in the first place, but having somewhere like M&S means that I know I can get some affordable bras in my size at least.
I get that they aren’t that flattering! BUT they are supportive and a perfect fit. If you’re looking for prettier DD+, then make sure you check out Yours’ range. Totally love them, just a bit out of my student price range.
Another Yankee Candle! This time in Pink Sands. And as you can probably tell I absolutely loved this scent in Feb due to the little wax left in the bottom. The smell is fresh and summery, and I would associate it with raspberries and vanilla. It’s the perfect smell to have burning when you’re getting ready or just come out of the shower as it totally will lighten your mood when you smell it. That’s what happened in my case anyway!
Less of a favourite and more of an obsession this month was The Sims 4. The quality of the game has improve drastically since the horrendous The Sims 3… back when I would chant ‘bring back The Sims 2’ in my head every time I attempted to play 3.
The emotions are my favourite thing about this game when it tells you exactly what they are feeling at that time. The only downfall to this game though is the disappearance of the toddler age gap. No longer can I teach a toddler to walk, talk or potty train, which makes me very sad.
Now this is my favouritest February favourite. The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story is probably one of the best shows on TV at the moment. It’s a dramatization the O.J. murder trial, with actors like John Travolta, Sarah Paulson and Cuba Gooding Jr. playing the real life characters.
I’m not going to give anything away because I really recommend you all go and watch it, but obviously if you remember it or are interesting in the case – you’ll pretty much know what happens. However, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t watch it. Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, creators of AHS and Glee, have created this anthology series which will go onto show some of the America’s most famous criminals. I’m so glad they started with O.J. and I’m so excited to see what else can come in the series! It’s on BBC 2 every Tuesday night and a MUST WATCH in 2016!
Ok, so they’re my February favourites! Hope you like them and get some good recommendations.
