“Well good evening, Denver, Colorado! Welcome to the Reputation Stadium Tour. Oh, Denver, Colorado, I’ve always loved coming to see you. I’ve always loved playing for you. In the beginning, when I first started touring, I think I was about 15 years old when I played my first show here. Since then–this is lucky–since then, I’ve played 13 times in Colorado. So this is our 13th show, and this is actually our first show stadium show in Colorado, you guys. Thank you! It’s a Friday Night; I know there’s a million places you could be, but you decided to come and hang out with us. Thank you so, so, so, so, so much for doing that. We have to talk about how absolutely incredible Camila Cabello and Charli XCX were tonight. Guys, there are 58,000 people in the room tonight, and you’re standing up, you’re dancing, you’re singing, you’re screaming, you’re screaming the words to the songs. This is such a beautiful crowd. It’s, like, above beautiful actually. What’s the word for something that’s more than beautiful? Is there a word for that?”

“Denver, Colorado, in terms of crowd you are absolutely so next level its like impossible to verbalize. I mean you were screaming the words to every single song! I’m looking out and seeing the things you guys are wearing, you guys are just so amazing. One thing I wanted to be sure you knew is that you may have noticed you have a light up bracelet on, and the reason I wanted to have those for the tour is I can see every person. If you are in the last row of the top deck and you think I cant see you, that would be incorrect. I can see every person, I can tell when you’re dancing, I can tell when you’re moving, it makes me feel so cnencted to you. I think that one thing it’s very possible every singe person, every single one of the 58,000 of us here tonight have in common is that we crave feeling connected to other people. And that sounds so simple and obvious, but I’ve kind of had this very predictable cycle in terms of my life schedule - like my work stuff. My work cycle always went make an album, put the album out, make an album, put the album out, go on tour and it was that exact same pattern over and over again until last time. We had a tour last time called the 1989 world tour, did any of you come to that? It’s great to have you back! But after that tour I felt like it would be important for me to figure out who I would be as a person and what decisions i would make if i didn’t have a spotlight on me all the time, and it was really really important for me, and I went off and just lived my life. But the most incredible thing was that you guys understood that and even better, you were here when I got back, so thank you for that! And while I was away, I could always check in with you guys online. I could see what you guys were doing, look at your pages, look at your Tumblr, Instagram, Twitter. And when I went through difficult times, hard times, where I felt completely alone, I could always look and see what you guys were saying, and a lot of times you were saying ‘oh I’ve been through this too, I’ve been in this exact situation before, and I know how you feel,’ And its so incredibly validating when someone says, 'I know how you feel, and I look into a crowd of 58m000 people and it looks like you all know the songs - am i right about that? When I look out and I see you know the words, basically you’re telling me I know how you feel, we’ve felt the same way about things in terms of relationships, human emotion, insecurities - it means so much to me that you would connect with me on that because all that stuff is really delicate, you know?”
