hey, I like your soul, let's orbit each other for a while?
“What’s the point of all this self-awareness if I’m still lost, still searching, still unfulfilled?” And here’s the hard, honest answer: Self-awareness isn’t a guarantee. It’s not a shortcut to happiness. It’s not a magic key that unlocks a perfect life. What it is, though… is a compass. It won’t draw the map for you, but it helps you recognize when you’re walking in circles. It won’t hand you your purpose, but it helps you notice when something feels off in your soul—even if you can’t name it yet.
When you're in awe—like truly struck by the vastness of a starry sky or the beauty of a sunrise—your brain actually shifts into a state that reduces your sense of self. It quiets the default mode network (the part involved in self-criticism and rumination) and increases feelings of connection to others and the world.
Basically, awe is nature’s built-in ego dissolver. A kind of gentle spiritual reset.

one thing about me is I’m gonna go home
You are beautiful
not because you are better than others
but because there is only you
who can smile like that

And while we’re talking about things that make us squirm but really shouldn’t, I’d like to say that I’m a big advocate for not hiding your enthusiasm for things. It seems to me that there is a false stigma around eagerness in our culture of “unbothered ambivalence.” This outlook perpetuates the idea that it’s not cool to “want it.” That people who don’t try hard are fundamentally more chic than people who do. And I wouldn’t know because I have been a lot of things but I’ve never been an expert on “chic.”

My state of mind is: if you hug me for too long I'll start crying.

Do you ever feel like you can't be fully yourself in this world because you havnt found your people?
*INFJ Awards* for:
Spoke about my problems and didn't cry
Some of y' all never had to be the "good child" in hopes of lessening your parents problems which ultimately led to buried feelings, inability to express emotions, wanting to please everyone, inability to handle the tiniest bit of confrontation and criticism, and it really shows.
In need of Kind Words.... Anybody out there?
When you realise that you being an empath is partly a protective mechanism of growing up in a home where you had to be hypervigilant of others moods for your own survival.

The tired woman in me understands this. The infj in me understands this too.
Am I the only one that always feels like running away from everything?
Can somebody remind me who I am, please?
