Iron Brigadier

This set is one of my absolute favorites that I’ve ever made for my hunter. I would love to pair a gun with it (the eyepatch makes it pretty sniper-y looking), but I don’t have a gun that matches it well enough at the moment, and I wanted to show off this mog anyway :) 

This isn’t the easiest set to get. There are a few simple pieces: You can farm Firelands for the bow, spaulders, and feet, and that’s easy enough (this color is available on heroic only--if you do normal, the set is more orange than red). But the Chief Brigadier’s armor pieces are all rare drops from old instances. Click through to see where you can find the various pieces. I rarely see anything but the belt on the AH on my server, but maybe you’ll have more luck than I did. :) 

The eyepatch is so coveted for mail wearers presently (soooo hot right now). The reason? It’s from a BC quest. If you’ve been playing for a long time, like I have, chances are that you’ve done it and then got rid of the eyepatch. I wanted this for my shaman, but I’d already done the quest... so I made sure to do it on my hunter! There is NO OTHER MAIL EYEPATCH in the game, with the exception of the Fiery Beholder Eye, which is effing painful to farm. Plus, let’s face it: It just doesn’t look as good with most sets as the Malefactor’s Eyepatch does.

So if you’ve done this already on your toon, I’m sorry. :( But hey, in Legion, you’ll be able to rock this look. If you haven’t done this yet and are able to obtain the quest to get the eyepatch, hold onto it--otherwise, you will have to wait til Legion with the rest of them.

It’s been a long time since I’ve updated with a new mog set. I’m in the process of setting up an Instagram account that will complement this tumblr... I’m not a huge tumblr fan, but I’m hoping to get the hang of this. 

Anyway, this is a set I made that really looks great on a shadow priest. It wouldn’t work well for non-priests, as there are too many priest-only pieces, but there are lookalikes available if you enjoy the look in general. (You can also easily find the lookalikes at the links below.)

The set:

Head: Halo of Transcendence (Priest only; lookalike available, but not in this color)

Here’s a set I put together while I’m working on farming other mogs. It’s easy to get (with the exception of the scythe, if you’ve missed the Midsummer event), and I think it looks pretty good on a forsaken.

So There’s a little bit of the mog in action.
