To the brain geniuses in the notes saying shit like “well I know Trump packed the court but Biden didn’t even try to check and balance it”: how? What does this kind of “check and balance” that apparently lets you just eliminate sitting SCOTUS justices single-handedly and/or stop pending cases work? This is a genuine question. I actually paid attention and got good grades in civic class and like, have read the Constitution, so I’m really curious what those of you who didn’t do that think are the powers of the U.S. president, how you think the U.S. government works.

Hey uh, a few quick questions, since you remember something past the last presidency: 1) How does a supreme court justice get nominated? 2) Who said the decorum was a “long-standing tradition of not fulfilling a nomination in the middle of a presidential year.” 3) Who was the majority leader of the senate 8 years ago? What does he do? What was his political affiliation?
