Such a quiet day today, Rin thought to himself, maybe its time for a small cup of coffee. The town of (Some town name that i canât think of at this current time lol)⌠was such a quiet and lovely town. Bustling with people with family values ,cars and smog. There was so much smog from the surrounding factories. The air around was grey of all the pollution a mist in the clouds. People may have had their values and morals but this place was definitely the slums. People wore rag clothes, buildings were not nice and everything run down- except the coffee shop that everyone went too. It was the epitome of the greatest thing on Earth in this town. This shop had the best pumpkin spice latte ever according to the residents. Lines as long as 100 people some mornings and cold winter nights, waiting for coffee.

   The town was on the outskirts of a major city, that is where the smog comes from but many people visit this shop because of the high approbation. Rin thought he would give this place a try. Immediately things didnât seem right because there was not as many as a hundred lined up outside waiting for coffee. Maybe something there was something else happening within the major city or just a slow day, Rin thought. This was perfect for him because he didnât want the attention of everyone or just some very false advertisement. The reason was an oddly dressed man. Wearing all black with a cape that covered his right side of his body, sliver gauntlet on his left arm that extended to a small sharp point over the left knuckle and finally the black katana that hung at his side. He turned heads as he approached the coffee shop.Â
   Ding Dong, the bell on the coffee shop rang out. There were only three people inside the shop- A couple at the wide open window talking and not even acknowledging Rin, another a man who had to be in his earlier 20s. There was maybe a couple of cars in the drive thru. âWelcome to our shop. What can i get you this morning?â the clerk said with an almost sanguine way that annoying.
âIll have a, ummm, Large pumpkin spice latte with an extra squirt of pumpkin.â
âSo thats a Venti pumpkin spice latte with an extra pump of pumpkin spice in it,â the clerk said making an extra infliction correct terms, unlike what Rin said.
âSure, whatever you said.â As Rin rolled his eyes.
âWould you like to try it with Organic fat free soy milk from our very own hydroponic grade or maybe some Java chips or a freshly baked scone?â The clerk finish with a big smile of his face.
âNo thank you, just want the coffee the way i said it.â
âOk coming right up.â
The clerk began to make the coffee and Rin search of a place to sit. Ahh, perfect a spot where Rin could see the front entrance and everyone in the shop. Rin placed his sword on the table as the clerk brought the drink to the table. âConvention or something in town?â Rin just glanced at the clerk because he was starting to annoy him. âWell you enjoy sir.â Nodding and bowing as he stepped back behind the desk.
Sip. Rin sipped the coffee. Letting out a small mhmm and thinking aloud in his head, âThat is good, has a funny after taste to it but its amazing.â Before Rin could take another sip of his beverage the doors of the coffee shop flew open and a concussion grenade was thrown in the shop. Ding with a long ringing noise, would have been the sound the grenade but it didnât go off. Then came a smoke grenade that filled the room with smoke. Sip. Rin didnât even panic or reach for his sword when he could hear the sound of 20 military men filling the shop. Through the fog of smoke laser pointed and covered Rinâs entire chest with one aimed at the head.
âYou didnât think we would find you did you,â a voice called out from the smoke. When the smoke finally cleared it was the clerk with a military grade desert eagle pointed right at Rinâs head, even the other people in the shop had guns keened in on Rin. Sip. â Oh we have a tough guy here, do we?â âNo worries the neruotoxin I put in the coffee should be kicking in by the third sip. Iâd say you have about 2mins before your entire body is paralyzed.â Rin paused for a second looking at the cup, back at the solider, then gulped down the entire hot cup of coffee. âWell well that should speed the the process up to about 30 seconds now.â âSo before you are paralyzed tell me this, why would you walk around in daylight thinking we would not look for you.â Rin sat up straight a little bit and just smirked at the man then said âCan we hurry this dance up i have better things to do with my little then be bothered with monkeys.â The soldiers nostrils flared and his face twisted with anger. âMy orders were to bring back the sword and the sword only.â Rin smirked and crossed his arms then leaned back with his feet propped up on the table.Â
âHere its yours,â kicking it across the table to the solider.Â
âFool, now we have have no use for you.â Looking at the other soldiers. âLight em up boys.â At that instance the word begun to glow and weird markings begun to light up on the sheath but the soldiers paid no attention to the sword. Millions of bullets fired from the guns. Budda Budda Budda⌠The sound was so loud you could hear it two block over at the top of the 25 story building as if you were in the same room. Smoke once again filled the coffee shop or rather the decoy shop. When the smoke cleared the wall that was behind Rin was littered with holes that were so wide one could see right outside. That entire side of the coffee shop laid in waste. The last bits of debris cleared. The soldiers excepted to see Rinâs body torn to pieces of the bullet but what they saw was another one of their fellow man in the place of where Rin was sitting. Astonished one solider rushed to his fallen comrade. The rest looked around for not only had they shot a fellow friend but the solider who posed as the clerk wasnât anywhere in sight. Once the other soldiers notice they became frantic and started to look around nervously. Crack.
   The ground in the coffee shop begun to rip and tear apart. Red lines of what appeared to be similar to a volcano erupting, streaked across the ground. Then boom! The entire coffee shop erupted in a fiery explosion!. You could hear the bone chilling screams of the men as the very foundation of earth caved in and erupted. But outside there was silence. Nothing of the men or the explosion could be heard unlike when the guns were fired. In a parking lot across from the shop, Rin with the sword at his hip now and the now one hand solider sat and watched the devastation.Â
âNooooooo,â screamed the solider at the top of his lungs. âHow?â âWhy?â âWhat did you do?â âMy men, why couldnât i hear the explosion?â
Rin punched the solider in the face, knocking him to the ground and then picked him up by the shirt. Menacing malicious look now took form on Rinâs face. âIâd wish you shut up.â âYou shouldnât have come after me.âÂ
âDo the know the name of this sword?â âIts called dokubutsu or poison for you common fools.â âFrom the very moment i laid my eyes on you, your lackeys, the shop, and even the cup of coffee - Your very reality was poisoned with my thoughtsâŚ
Rin smirked, slid his hair between his jet black hair, then walked away, leaving the shocked and disfigured solider there staring at the place at once had â Hundreds of people waiting in line for coffee.âÂ
