I very much believe that II S1 Remastered has every right to exist. I'm sorry but if the first season of your show is making new viewers instantly drop the show without giving it a second chance and every time a fan recommends the show to someone, they have to tell them to "skip season 1" or that "season 2 is where it gets good", then idk I think redoing the very first season from the ground up seems pretty reasonable.

#i can understand this point of view for the sake of bringing in new viewers but if i can put on my crusty oldgen hat for a minute #you gotta learn to love the bullshit.#ii season 1 is not very good and has aged poorly in several places--some of which has been removed from the series entirely #and often for good reason.#but it is MONUMENTALLY important to the community as a whole #and in my opinion. you can't understand where this community came from without it #a lot of older object shows are A LOT more like ii than bfdi s1.#i think. back then. having a show be made kind of poorly really implanted the idea that it was something Anyone could do #and thats why we had kids making shows out of paper cutouts! or powerpoint!#or movie maker! or whatever have you!#i think its really really great that animation tools are so accessible now #this community is huge and full of really really talented people. the new shows coming out are so incredibly high quality #and to an extent i understand why newer fans will stick to that high quality stuff #i think even i do too most of the time #but i dont wanna live in a world where the badly made bullshit gets phased out. i want it to stay a thing anyone can do #anon i hope this doesnt read like me. coming after you. if you read this #im not the biggest fan of s1 remaster i think a lot of the writing changes make it. even more awkward and stilted than the original was tbh #but i think you're right i think . having something more emblematic of the quality and values you strive for. makes a lot of sense #but all that being said i just hope the osc never stops learning to love bs made by beginners making something for the first time #cuz i think thats the real heart of the community
