It’s official: Héctor is a Disney Princess™

I like to think that the Rivera twins, despite being inseparable, have a lot of petty disagreements that they don’t always handle in a mature manner. :)

This both freaks me out and cracks me up at the same time. XD

I would love to know more about this family. Why are they stuck at the Department of Family Reunions? Why do they have so many ofrendas to visit? Why are there two women? Is one the mother and the other an aunt? Is one possibly an older sibling of the two kids? Did the man remarry when his first wife died? 

I love the contrast of expressions here. Miguel is so sweet as he tries to cheer Hector up. ^_^

I love how haphazardly this set was decorated, and all the places where the wood is chipped and splintered. Great details.

Got bored and decided to draw an old OC I co-created with @doctor-chinkano for a series of RPs we used to play. Her name is Petra Nocelotl, a soldadera from the Mexican Revolution. She is based on real-life soldadera Petra Hererra. This is her when she disguised herself as a man named Pedro and joined the army. Eventually she was exposed as a woman, and was was tortured and cast out. She then went on to lead her own all-woman troop and become a war hero. Hector knew Petra briefly when they were both alive, during the war, then met up again in the Land of the Dead and have been friends ever since. Here she is as a skeleton.

I’ve been wanting to draw Héctor in a mariachi suit for a long time, and I am quite satisfied with the results. 😁

The only thing Imelda finds more suspicious than her brothers tinkering with something is finding only one of them tinkering with something.
