This needs to be said, and I hope I’m not overexaggerating. But, the entire state of Hawaiʻi is in cultural and political chaos right now due to the controversy surrounding Maunakea. In all my years of living here, I’ve never seen it these issues climax to the level as this has and this is affecting EVERYONE in the state. Kupuna elders are getting arrested, highways on Oʻahu are getting stopped and what’s saddening is that this is not getting enough national and global attention across media outlets. Please educate yourselves about the kanaka maoli and do some research because history is doomed to repeat itself if change isn’t made.

Sometimes listening to straight girls talk is so wild they’ll be like “it sucks that I’m tall because I love heels so much but I can’t wear them because then I’ll be taller than my boyfriend!!!” and just like what in the goddamn hell are you talking about
