El-Jelwa الجلوة is a Tunsian tradition that it still maintained in some regions, where the bride, in her henna day, covers her head and put her arms perpendicularly like shown in the pics. and then turns around, or sometimes just stands still, while prayers and songs are sung to her.
It is believed that this is tradition has its roots from Punic Carthage. the Carthaginian bride visits the Tanit altar, the goddess of fertility and love and prosperity, the night before her wedding. And does the same pose while turning around it seven times, to bring prosperity and good luck to the marriage.

“In Dutch Protestant paintings of the 15th and 16th centuries, meat often referred to ‘the weak flesh.’ In my paintings, the beauty of the flesh is shown, and the ornate frames emphasize the non-Puritanical content. People call the frames ‘over the top’ or excessive. They’re often painted to match the meat. When viewing the paintings, some say they have a gag reflex while thinking at the same time they’re beautiful.”
