But again, I love to express my feeling through a song, which sounds cliche, but it's true.
I learned basic piano in 2020. Then in 2022 I went on for a ukulele. I always wanted to learn guitar, but never got the grip of it. I found it to be very hard to play. Too many strings. The ukulele is a perfect solution, cause it has only 4 strings, thus makes it easier to learn.
Now that I'm addicted to it (still in the beginner level), I even record some of my singing since the day one, just so I can see my progress.
At the end of the day, we all want something relaxing to do. Find your passion. Tomorrow, let's go back to work freshly .

My MacBook air 2015 edition is getting slower and less responsive after this good 6 years.
I love MacOS, well, most of the time.
But along with the age, the hardware can't keep up with the current macOS. The battery has been degrading, but insignificantly. It still impressively run for 4hours or more, depending on the running programs.

Then I decide to, finally after long time thinking and considering the pro and cons, replace the MacOS with Linux.
It's a big deal for me because, despite my long experience with Linux, I still believe that MacBook is optimized for macOS. So, there's a very good chance that some features of the Linux OS will somehow not be compatible, etc.
I have nothing to lose, though.
Go big, or go home 😬
First, I search for any information about putting Linux on a MacBook.
There're 2 main issues, related to the driver. Problem number 1, it's the wifi driver. No matter what kind of Linux distro you choose, it won't detect the wireless option. The simplest solution is using your smartphone internet via USB tethering, then installing the proprietary wifi driver. I'll share the "how-to" later guys.
Problem number 2, it's the webcam driver. It's a little bit more complicated than the first problem. You need to do some installation and setup steps in the terminal, but again, I'll share the how-to with you. I got your back. 😉
Now, that I have found the issues and also the solutions, I can rest assured and GO TO THE REAL HARDWARE TEST.
Pick your favorite weapon, excuse me, I mean your favorite Linux Distro.
My first choice of Linux distro is Manjaro KDE Plasma. It's beautiful, glossy, glowing, and all the flashy things that a geek lady like me wanted. (Check their website. It's still the best and most beautiful Linux for me).
Let me remind you, I'm choosing the best Linux (in my point of view), without considering the minimum requirements, because I'm pretty sure that my 8GB RAM, 512GB eMMC hard drive, with Intel Core i7 processor MacBook will be doing great for any Linux distro.
The good thing about Linux is that you can try it in the Live Mode, see if it works for you.
Long story short, The Manjaro KDE doesn't feel good at all in the MacBook. It's not about the performance, more about the feels. It just doesn't feel right.
Then I decided to try the Ubuntu Budgie 21.04. I already have the ISO file since early 2021, just for having fun, but after trying it in Live Mode on my MacBook, it's all clicked on.
To install the Ubuntu Budgie in the MacBook, basically, it's not that different from other laptops (the difference between each laptop brand perhaps for the BIOS Boot key only).

Once the installation is done, let's fix the 2 aforementioned issues.
1. Fix the Wifi
In the Ubuntu Budgie, life gets easier. Seriously!
To have internet access, connect your smartphone to the MacBook using USB and then turn on the USB Tethering in the phone. Now, To install the Wifi driver, click the apps menu icon (left-upper corner) and search for "Additional Drivers", and you will find window like below.
Make sure you choose "Using Broadcom 802.11 Linux ...."
Once you click "Apply Changes", the Wifi option will be there.
2. Fix the webcam driver
To install the webcam driver, open the "Terminal", and type one by one this command line.

Padahal, kalimat2 tersebut adalah kalimat sempit. Lihat saja, kita seolah lupa dengan siapa kita 'Hasusnya' berterima kasih. Padahal atas izin dan pertolongan-Nya lah semua hal bisa terjadi.

Kita dilemahkan oleh kata-kata. Dan parahnya, sering kali kita tak menyadari itu. Tahu dampaknya? Tauhid terkikis. Syirik mulai timbul.

"Jangan Ada Tuhan Lain"
Seolah mudah diucapkan. Namun mesti dalam dipahami.

Dulu, mungkin sesembahan2 yang disebut2 Tuhan itu berwujud. Berhala, Fir'aun dan lain-lain. Iman kita mungkin bisa menampikkan hal tersebut.

Namun yang masih ada hingga saat ini adalah 'Tuhan' lain. Uang, orangtua, kerabat, pekerjaan, perusahaan dan lain-lain. Jarang kita sadari menjadi 'Tuhan'.

"Kalau ndak ada Uang, nggak bisa makan."
"Kalau gaji ndak dibayar, gimana bisa hidup, kebutuhan lagi banyak-banyaknya."

Inilah kalimat2 yang dihias oleh Syaitan sehingga kita tak sadar tauhid tergrogoti. Sedikit demi sedikit. Yang akhirnya menjadi pola pikir. Pola pikir yang menjadi kebiasaan.

Dan jika sudah dalam posisi itu. Tertawa lah syaitan karena keberhasilannya.

Maka siapalah kita jika tidak meminta pertolongan-Nya. 17 rakaat dalam sehari meminta agar diberi petunjuk di jalan yang lurus.
Between Libreoffice and WPS, which one is better ? Depends on how you define “better”. Interface wise, WPS looks much more MsOffice-alike, some say it looks better. But, the downside is, it performs worse. I had just opened a document with about 300 pages and the WPS just went stuck. On the other hand, using Libreoffice, it works like a charm. Scrolling is really smooth too.
Libreoffice is a well-maintained software and have been circulating for a long time. Well done!

Pencarian memerlukan kegigihan, sedang pencapaian memerlukan kematangan. Maka sesudah itu diperlukan kebesaran jiwa.
Ialah saat dimana orang-orang besar sudah tidak merasa memerlukan lagi pujian, karena baginya itu sudah berlalu.
Sebagaimana ia juga tidak merasa takut dengan celaan, karena kematangan dan kebesaran jiwanya, lebih bisa memahami orang-orang yang membencinya. Bahwa jiwanya sangat mampu untuk memafkan.
Itu sebabnya memafkan hanya bisa dilakukan oleh orang-orang berjiwa besar.

Since today I'd just re-watched The "Angel & Demon", my eyes catch a glimpse of symbol which by any mean are very much popular in modern day, especially for scientist.

You can find the scene at the end of the movie, where the pope lend the journal to Langdon. If you are a scientist or an engineer, you can't miss those symbol of Tree entwined with some fruits ~ i think it's grape.
Yep! It's the majestic publisher of science and engineering journal logo. The one with pricy publishing cost. Yes, right. Elsevier. I have read their profile, history, even the wiki page of Elsevier. All of them state the same thing: The symbol was inspired from Elzevir family's publishing house, which was founded in Netherland, in 1580. The current modern Elsevier has nothing to do with Elzevir family. But here is what I found interesting, if you watched the movie or even better, read the book, you will find that the book of Galilei was mostly banned by the church, and it is extremely rare even now. Here I found another book, published in 1638 (source: Library of Congress).
Then if you also follow the story, Langdon also stated that Galileo was an illuminati member. The famous one I notice. So, if the story match, the rare journal of Galileo was published by the Elzevir publishing house, which then naturally I think, was working with the Illuminati organization also. The nowadays Elsevier is not related to Elzevir. They just took the inspiration from Elzevir, use the seal, and being one of the most controlling publisher in the world. Very convincing.
Banyak orang ingin hidup senang dan tak mau hidup susah. Tapi tak banyak yang berhasil punya definisi komprehensif tentang susah dan senangnya hidup.

Kalau ukurannya adalah hati, orang susah adalah yang banyak serakahnya, banyak sombongnya, dan banyak dengkinya.
Banyak orang sebenarnya hanya ingin bahagia, tapi mati-matian mengejar materi dan lupa pada hati. Padahal susah dan senang itu letaknya di hati.
Tak ada yang salah dari mengejar materi. Yang masalah adalah jika kamu ingin bahagia tapi tak tau caranya. Mengejar tapi tak mengerti apa yang dicari. Sekadar ikut-ikutan atau hanya manut apa kata orang.
Karena bahagia tempatnya di hati, maka ajaklah hatimu bicara. Apa yang diinginkannya, apa yang menenangkannya, apa yang melegakannya. Ada kalanya kamu perlu mengambil jeda, menepi dari kerumunan, dan mendengar kata hati.
Tak apa tertinggal satu putaran. Pencapaian tak selamanya tentang menang kalah. Kebahagiaan tak melulu soal siapa yang lebih dulu mencapai garis finish.

Lihat Lagi, Pasti ada Sisi yang Belum Kita Fungsikan
Ada tiga ratus enam puluh sendi menopang tubuh kita. Kita harus berkarya, beramal, bersedekah, demi sendi-sendi itu. Begitulah Rasulullah menjelaskan. Ada nafas nyawa setiap hari. Datang memastikan hidup setiap kali bangun pagi. Kita harus berbuat, beramal, bersedekah, demi nyawa itu. Bahkan karena kita Muslim, maka harus ada yang kita kontribusikan atas nama kemusliman itu. Begitulah Rasulullah mengabarkan.
Meski amal dilihat dari niatnya, bukan berarti tak punya kalkulasi dan hitungan. Ada dimensi kalkulatif dalam hidup, saat kita menghitung antara apa yang kita dapat dari nikmat Allah, dan apa yang telah kita perbuat. Ada banyak sisi yang harus kita dalami, kita lihat. Dari sana kita akan tahu dimana dasar pertahanan diri kita, dimana pemicu produktifitas kita, dan dimana sumber pelipatgandaan manfaat yang bisa kita bagi. Kita hanya harus memastikan, bahwa sesungguhnya, masih banyak sisi-sisi dalam hidup yang belujm kita fungsikan.
Kita di beri sarana tidur oleh Allah untuk melepaskan segala jenis kelelahan yang kita temui sepanjang hari. Termasuk pula kelelahan hati dan batin yang lahir dari interaksi kita dengan sesama manusia.
Tidur itu mudah. Tapi membawa kelapangan hati bersama tidur, tidak selalu mudah.
Mungkin kita perlu perjuangan.
Namun seperti apapun usaha kita, semoga kita bisa melakukannya, karena kita memang harus tidur tanpa beban, tanpa ada sesuatu yang mengganjal di hati.
Sebab kebahagiaan kita ada bersama tidur yang tanpa beban, bersama kelapangan hati.
