Romeo & Juliet who? I only know Peter & Jason

I love bare a pop opera because it has the unholy trinity of toxic yuri, doomed yaoi and religious guilt

do you ever think about how in bare a pop opera jason is so concerned with how hes viewed and living up to what everyone thinks of him (his dad, the school, etc) that even though he's a main character he doesn't have a solo until near the end, when everything all falls apart around him and he's forced to face whats left of himself without outside approval

hollanov au where they’re roommates at a catholic boarding school and secretly hooking up with each other but there’s tension because ilya is tired of being closeted and wants to come out but shane panics and breaks up with him and then sleeps with rose who is starring opposite him in the school’s musical production of romeo and juliet. and then rose ends up getting pregnant and is distraught because her “boyfriend” doesn’t seem to like her all that much and someone found out about shane and ilya and is threatening to tell. and shane goes to confession distraught over being gay but the priest tells him he must deny his feelings and then at the end of his rope shane asks ilya to run away with him but ilya refuses because he doesn’t want to spend the rest of his life hiding. and then in a final act of misery shane takes too much of scott hunter’s drugs right before he goes on stage for the romeo and juliet musical performance and becomes increasingly disoriented as the play goes on and then he dies in ilya’s arms

y’all ever realize every 2-3 months that bare a pop opera is the best musical ever written and you need to devote your entire life to it

anyone else feel really weird about god or is it just me and that one gay guy from bare: a pop opera

peter having a nightmare in the form of a seven-minute stylized musical number is quite possibly the gayest thing he could have done and i absolutely adore him for that
