          “  — hey, you can’t make a carrot cake without cream cheese frosting!” hana’s truly in her element during moments like these, with the farmers’ market bustling, assailing every unsuspecting passerby who seems to be holding a bag of newly acquired carrots. “and it just so happens i have some right here! homemade fresh this morning! free sample? don’t worry, it’s in a cooler. i’m totally servsafe certified.”

“oh, uh  — that’s alright, i’m not very photogenic. it is a very beautiful sunset; i wouldn’t do it justice,” avery insists with a soft smile. for as long as she can remember, she’s been afflicted with a severe case of camera-shyness, only ever looking at photos of herself with a light cringe at best. “thank you, though... oh! no, no.” she laughs quietly, shaking her head. “i get pretty bad stage fright. are you gonna sing?”

“hey, judge away.” steph is no stranger to the concept of attracting attention, and it’s only the semblance of respect she has for her elders that keeps her from contriving some ridiculous pick-up line out of it. “this isn’t the weirdest place i’ve decided to practice my kickflip before.”

“you won’t know until you try!” hana’s practically skipping, bubbling over with her excitement. “personally, i’ve never run into a problem hanging out with a cow couldn’t solve.”

“i don’t think chip and i are acquainted! haven’t yet had the pleasure of meeting them . . . maybe if you tell me a little more about their personality and temperament i can help you make an informed decision.” hana nods sagely, bouncing in place a little in her excitement.
