Hadeedee

Even as a younger girl, Hadeel had always had a tendency to long for the unavailable men. Actors who she would never meet were plastered over her dorm walls in Washington DC, and when she started on video games, she’d always fall for an NPC who wasn’t a romance option. So when the bartender was friendly and handsome, Hadeel did what she always did when faced with an unavailable man. She tried to find out everything about him.

But no one seemed to know anything about him, and the realism of the universe had her avoiding talking to him. Thankfully, she didn’t really need to drink any alcohol, so avoiding the bartender was easy. Finding his pattern was easy as she hid in the crowd at the tavern, and only three days after scoping the man, Hadeel made her move.

Asking around the town was not a viable option for her, wading through dialogue was strenuous sometimes and she knew she needed to practice her skills. So in the middle of the daylight, Hadeel crept into the barkeepers rooms.

The rooms themselves were clean, though something about them seemed to trigger something in her brain as she stood next to the bed. There was a moment of discomfort as she realized exactly what she was doing. She was standing in a man’s room with the intent on learning everything about him. God, if Zayn could see her now, he’d probably die laughing, get out his phone, snap chat the entire thing, and then buy sushi afterwards. God she missed him.

Shaking herself from her reverie, Hadeel began to search. What she was searching for, she really wasn’t sure, but hopefully he had some sort of diary or even letters from a fellow npc. But a basic scan of the room revealed nothing except for a couple bottles of empty alcohol and some alternate clothes. He’d look good in those.

Fuck that was a weird thought.

Hadeel grimaced and moved on with her search. With nothing showing up on the desks and shelves, Hadeel turned to the bed and dropped to her knees. Her palms hit the ground softly, ensuring no sound was made, and Hadeel started to root around beneath the simple bed. Books were revealed when she began to sweep them from beneath the bed. It was interesting, the mix of lore and history, but unless there was a library in town and he’d written his name on them, the books wouldn’t help her. Besides, why the hell were they under the bed when he had a perfectly good shelf right there next to the door.

Maybe they were banned books. Something she would have to look into.

Hadeel memorized the title of the books and shoved them back beneath the bed. Standing, she dusted off her knees and stretched out like a cat. Next up was the desk, with all of its two drawers. A small part of her, the part that housed a memory of her idiotic brother, wanted to find a sex toy. A larger part of her expected to find a sex toy, it would be her luck.

But no sex toy revealed itself to her, and she frowned at two empty drawers.

“Seriously?” She groaned in frustration and placed her hands on her hips.

“What are you doing?” Hadeel screeched in surprise and turned to face the thankfully not the bartender npc.

“I’m looking for- the bathroom?” Her voice went up an octaves.

“Oh, well the bathroom is down the hall- this is Jonathan’s room.”
