An anti-Hayley blog, Hayley/Phoebe lovers be gone

Glad you asked, Anon! We went onto the Anti-Hayley pages and got a few ideas as to why she’s hated so much. We dislike her as well, but we wanted to explore the potential she had before her character was ruined. We came up with these ideas:

Hayley will be older. The Teen Mom trope will be abandoned. Instead, she’ll be in her early twenties. She will also have a job and a career going. In addition to this, she will have her own place to live instead of relying on the Mikaelsons.

Hayley will not be treated in a misogynistic or sexist way. She will not be spoken to as a walking-talking womb, and anyone who tries will be shot down.

She will fully face the consequences of her actions in TVD and will not be portrayed as a Virgin Mary style saint who could do no wrong.

Hayley will make better decisions when it comes to her own child. (Eg, at the end of Season One (canon) when she let Hope go with Rebekah instead of going with her.)

Hayley will not be focused on love interests. H*ylijah, Kl*yley etc will be scraped. The only love interest we’ve been considering for Hayley will not be with any Mikaelson, and will not happen until Season 2, if at all.

Despite her lack of love interests, we will be creating a friendly partnership between Klaus and Hayley, so they can raise their child in peace. Elijah will support Hayley (as it would be OOC for him to ignore her or hate her) but will not be romantically interested in her, and Rebekah will hate her, as she hates every female (Sage, Katherine, Caroline, Elena etc) in her brothers lives. This hatred may turn into a frenemy relationship later in the series.

She will not be classed as a Mikaelson.

We’ll be picking one character trope for Hayley and sticking with it. In TO, they often changed her personality tropes to fit the storyline. In addition to this, we’re going to try and make sure her character trope isn’t a mess of stereotypes.

She will not be portrayed as a ‘ninja warrior’ while heavily pregnant. She will be able to fend for herself a little at first, but that ability will decrease as her pregnancy develops.

She will not be turned into a hybrid, as far as we have planned.

She will not be raised up on a pedestal as a Queen. She will have her flaws, and she will face those flaws.

You know, I was planning on making a couple of jokes, maybe posting a few gifs, and rant a bit. But what is there to really say, here? Hayley fucking Marshall is the only thing Klaus fucking Mikaelson truly fears. Not his father. Not losing his daughter. Not even himself. Hayley is.
