i'm alive! recently i've been watching granada holmes for the first time (with the aid of these excellent meta posts) and as a lifelong SH fan i can't believe i waited this long. jeremy brett holmes is EVERYTHING to me, and the holmes/watson domesticity and closeness makes me inexpressibly happy in my heart <333

I think two of the biggest things I've learned are 1) ALWAYS use a reference and 2) train your eye to be able to evaluate what's off about a drawing. This involves a whole lot of looking at your reference and looking back at your drawing, and sometimes you come back to a drawing a week later and find it's wrong in some way you didn't notice before. Just take your time and practice the fundamentals a lot, it gets easier over time but it's still incredibly daunting for me on most days 😂 Hope that helps! Thank you for your question~
