Sliding off of the wooden crate he'd been sitting on, Greed took a drag on the offending cigarette that had been dangling between his lips with a pointed smirk. "Looks like you're not the type to half-ass something you find pleasurable." He plucked it from his lips and waved it idly. "Barely touch these things myself, but the quality's undeniable."

Shiny black boots echoed across the concrete floor and walls as he sauntered over to the bound man and crouched down in front of him, a plume of smoke drifting above his face as he tilted his head back to exhale slowly. When he turned back to face him, a sharp-toothed grin split his face.

"Took you long enough to wake up, you know. But we did have to make sure there was no opportunity for you to get away. You look like you could put up a hell of a fight, and despite what it looks like, the Devil's Nest isn't a place that encourages violence." Though a dive bar filled with lowlifes, thugs, and criminals, Greed was adamant about it being a safe haven from the military and threats from other patrons. Gambling, black market deals, and information dealing were all on the table, but fistfights and weapons drew too much attention. People who got into fights risked being kicked out, and depending on the severity of the situation may have to buy their way back in by making it worth his while.

Satisfied that his prey seemed conscious enough for the situation at hand, he glanced over his shoulder toward a small group on the other end of the room and called, "Nice catch, Martel. Almost didn't think he'd come."

"Give me some credit, Greed. It may be a long time since I've been on a real date, but I haven't forgotten what men want." Though she rolled her eyes, her half smirk announced she wasn't particularly offended. Martel crossed her arms and leaned back against the wall. "Sorry to stand you up, Jean. You seemed like a nice guy, too." Though her tone was more playful than apologetic.

It was then that his eyes fell on Martel, a woman whom he thought he was meeting for a casual date.

Why was his love life like this? It was then that he was startled a bit by the man's name. Greed? Oh, god damn it. Another one? He thought Greed was dead.
