Can we have interaction headcanons between the Farm skeletons and the Horrorfellswap brothers? And maybe the other characters that often visit the farm?
If you haven't met them yet, go meet Merlot and Mocha, the Horrorfellswap brothers!
I was inspired so I did an all-stars (at least those who already met them)
Undertale Sans - Sans was a bit upset after, you know, he got sort of irradiated with his little brother and had to stay in lockdown for around 4 months because his weak body couldn't deal with this, but seeing them now... Well, he can't help but worry. He's aware of the situation with Mocha, being very close to Alphys, and he wants to help the guy to find a way out of this before it's too late. He's also painfully aware they don't have much time left and that even if they somehow managed to save him, poor guy will deal with the consequences of this for his entire life. In the meantime, he's trying to get Merlot to talk about his world so he can gather as many things as he can about this, mainly in case other people from irradiated alternate universes show up and they can help the next ones faster. He feels sorry they sort of have to play rab lats, but they sort of struggle to even understand what's going on with Mocha so far.
Undertale Papyrus - Papyrus is aware he can't do anything to help them at the moment, so he finds other ways. He's the one proposing ways to make their life easier by giving them things to keep themself busy. He actually gave them his own TV (which Sans wasn't too happy about), bought them a couch, and works hard to make sure they are not bored, as boredom is surely what will kill them before whatever is going on with their magic. Papyrus tries to be cheerful when he's around them, especially when he notices they're both down, either because it's a bad day health-wise or because they're feeling like they're never getting out of this room. Bullshit! He's planning a ton of fun activities to show them the Surface once they're out, and even if Sans keeps telling him to not build his hope too high, he refuses to listen. It's too late for that anyway, he's attached already :D
Undertale Toriel - With Alphys, she is the only one authorized to go into the room, as her magic is strong enough to prevent damage due to radioactivity. And so, she is one of the few monsters they see for real, and they grew quite fond of each other. Toriel mainly comes to throw healing spell after healing spell on Mocha, to slow down his illness as best she can. She is also there to listen to them, as, obviously, being locked inside a room for months is not easy. Mocha broke down several times in her arms already, just begging for a hug she was happy to provide. Merlot is not the cuddly type, obviously, but he appreciates chatting with her as well. Anything to pass time.
Undertale Undyne - Well, the first impression was a bit complicated as Merlot didn't appreciate that she sort of came barreling their way screaming, but now it's better. They're not that close, but she often comes with Alphys, and so they learned a lot about each other. Merlot still thinks it's weird she has the personnality of his Alphys somehow, but he's getting used to it. Mocha got sort of enrolled in binge-watching anime at distance since he showed interest and doesn't have anything better to do. They bonded while talking about the shows.
Undertale Alphys - Alphys is quite literally their entire world, as she's the one working to find a solution to their health problems. She already did a lot to relieve pain, she took measurements to build robotic hand prosthesis for Merlot and she's definitely making progress on Mocha's situation. Alphys got attached really fast, and she is devastated every time Mocha gets worse, but she doesn't give up yet. She knows that, so far, he doesn't have much time left, but she is sure she can find something, anything to give him a little more time. And yes, she's reconsidering using determination, despite the previous time. She is more confident about what she is doing, and she has Sans helping her, even though he disapproves completely. She just... She knows she can do it.
Underswap Sans - Blue got curious of why his brother is spending so much time at the farm for, and tagged along. Well, he didn't expect that. And he's extremely worried for his brother. He can tell Honey is already extremely attached to Mocha; it's visible, he's all happy and excited. But what if Mocha dies? Honey is not exactly your common monster, he's a hyperempath, and so that means that if Mocha dies, he will absorb all the sadness around like a sponge and it might make him fall down from heartbreak. For now, Blue says nothing, as Honey won't listen to him anyway, but he can't help but think that the longer it takes, the harder it will get for Honey.
Underswap Papyrus - Honey has a new friend, and he's excited about it. It's not that surprising since Coffee is also one of his best friends. He comes to hang out almost every day, as Merlot noticed they were getting closer and to find a way to stimulate his brother a little. Honey is getting really good at inventing stupid games to play on each sides of the window, and of course, he gave Mocha a video game console so they can both talk without the glass between them and have fun together. Honey knows he's playing a dangerous game though, as he's now deeply attached and he's also deeply aware it can go horribly really fast. But nah, he's in complete denial for now :D
Underfell Papyrus - F*ck. Edge realized he got attached when Mocha smiled behind the glass, and he felt all warm inside. He didn't mean to do that. He still sort of tries to stay professional as he's before all their lawyer, but man, this is getting hard. He knows both brothers are trusting him completely by now, maybe more than the actual people taking care of them, because Edge is similar to them, and he's not sure he is ready for the responsibility. In the meantime, he is still fighting against the humans to make sure they don't risk anything and to keep the human scientists who want to study them like lab rats far away from them. It's a full-time job, as it seems they are persistent. He has Undertale Asgore's full support, though, and the King and him are trying to find any little crack in the legislation to prevent people from approaching them. They have enough on their hands to deal with already; they don't deserve to be bothered by annoying humans.
Horrortale Sans - Oak is slowly warming up. It took a while for him to remember there are newcomers, and he got jumpscared quite a few times by their presence. But it's fine now, he thinks. He's still unsure how to act around Merlot, as unlike the others, he's not the easiest one to read, but he loves Mocha already. He hates that they have to stay in that room, especially since he can tell that it's a hospital room, even though his brother is refusing to explain clearly what's going on with them. He hates hospitals, and they're clearly not happy in there. He's mostly in charge of bringing them food through the trap in the wall, and he might be adding sweets and cakes as it doesn't seem fair they can't eat whatever they want after starving for long. He wants to help, he's just not sure how.
Horrortale Papyrus - Willow has a hard time dealing with all of this. Not only their arrival greatly disturbed the fragile peace on the farm, but it also caused him emotional distress as well. Willow is extremely worried. He's glad both of them are more or less finding their place in the farm, but he can also see beyond that and how if they lose one of them, it will affect all the skeletons on the farm and might cause a major crisis that he isn't sure he can deal with. He knows Pumpkin will be destroyed. He knows Oak will be destroyed. Damn, even Chief might be destroyed seeing how attached he is anymore. And good thing he's in denial because he will surely not be ok with the idea either :D The only good thing out of this is that he is stress baking all the time so the newbies are a lot less stressed about food than when they arrived, as Willow basically brings them something every few hours or so. He hates it every time he sees Mocha is not feeling well, but he feels like if he gets too involved emotionally, it will hurt him so much he might break. He simply doesn't know what to do.
Horrortale Toriel - Old Lady wants to help so bad, but unlike Toriel, she isn't authorized in the room, due to her memory problems. Too many risks. Which means she is frustrated, and when she's frustrated, she is most likely to get lost or repeat things over and over again. Merlot quickly understood something is not quite right with her, so he's nice and patient, trying to calm her down when she starts to get agitated. He even prevented her from turning violent once, and said nothing to the others to not distress her more than she was when she realized. Merlot is worried about her.
Horrortale Grillby - Ember mostly comes and goes in the farm, but he always stops by to say hi and asks them if they need anything. Merlot quickly figured out that Ember is pretty good at finding rare food items they want, so he's sending him to buy their favorite food items, especially when Mocha is down and needs something to cheer him up. Ember doesn't care it's expensive, he just wants them to be comfortable. They are part of the family now, he wants them to feel this way.
Horrorswap Papyrus - Pumpkin has a new best friend. Not so long ago he didn't even know he could still have friends, and now he has a best friend. Pumpkin spends all of his days hanging out near the glass, signing with Mocha. They have a lot in common; they share a lot of similar traumas and it seems they will have the same very long recovery so it's better to do it with friends. Pumpkin sometimes sleeps in a sleeping bag on the other side of the glass, especially when Mocha doesn't feel ok. It's killing his bones, but he doesn't mind; he slept on the concrete floor of his cell for 14 years, one more night won't kill him. He just wants Mocha to know he is not alone in this, and that he'll be there in the good and bad days. Pumpkin still doesn't know about Mocha's real state, though, and Mocha is scared to tell him, as he doesn't want to lose whatever is happening between them.
Horrorfell Sans - Copper managed to win their trust really fast. He knows the signs. Not sleeping when one of them sleeps, never turning their back to strangers, getting nervous when they can't control something... These guys come to a world that is similar to his. Merlot appreciates he didn't treat him like sick people like the others. Copper is acting pretty normal around them and doesn't pity them, as it's clearly not something they want even though he's somehow the only one to see it. He doesn't hesitate to talk shit or throw dark humor their way, and Merlot appreciates it and reciprocates. Copper often comes to stand guard too when he sees Merlot is tired and can't watch over his brother. It's something family does. You don't let someone weakened on their own. That's his way to tell them they're part of the pack too, even if he's not the best at showing he cares.
Horrorfell Papyrus - Chief has all his training equipment in front of the room, so both skeletons can see him try to walk and fail almost every day. That obviously led to some questions. Chief told them all about his world and how he lost his legs, which made them closer, as, well, they are not that different. Now Merlot is sort of cheering him when he's exercising... Or criticizing how he puts his feet, depending on the mood, which makes Chief angry... But also sort of motivates him??? He's confused how this works, but it seems Merlot quickly understand he works with frustration and so takes pleasure into frustrating him so he reaches his goals faster.
Horrorswapfell Sans - Funnily enough, their first meeting was Bear completely forgetting there's a window there now and slamming his face against it, waking up both brothers in panic inside lol. After avoiding them for a solid week because he was ashamed and also they are strangers and it's scary, Bear came to properly introduce himself and try to be friendly, pushed by Willow, who sort of locked him in the corridor, so he has no choice but go say hi. Bear is a little awkward and unsure at first, uncomfortable, but Merlot sounds very similar to him and even if he can't see him, he can tell they have a similar story, or that he is very similar to Wine at least. It helps him to relax and not stress so much about going to see them. He's starting to warm up, coming to check on them from time to time. It's not friendship yet, but it's a beginning.
Horrorswapfell Papyrus - Well, it's not going very well, like very often with Tiger. Tiger quickly understood the magic trap door on the wall is where Willow puts all the food, and sometimes, the brothers are not awake to pick the food right away. But he is though :D Merlot is not happy about this though, and showed him by clawing his hand through the trap door, forcing him to be sent in quarantine for a few days just to be sure it's not serious. Merlot completely did it on purpose. Tiger is mad about it and throws him angry stares through the glass every time he walks by now.
Swapfell Sans - Nox rarely comes to the farm, but he needed some products and found out about the brothers adventuring in the house to find one of the skeletons to help him. He got, well, shocked seeing their state, and talked a bit with them through the glass. He was not that surprised that Merlot's Toriel started this, and he feels bad for them. Nox sends Merlot some new clothes almost every month, as if that guy is Wine, he knows he will like it, and he's still trying to find out what Mocha likes to gift little things as well. He just wants to show he cares.
Swapfell Papyrus - Need a clown show? He can provide that! It's actually Honey's idea. One day nothing could cheer Mocha and he grew quite desperate, he decided to call Rus to see if his chaotic energy could help a little. And it helped to bring a smile back on Mocha's face. Now that's a regular thing they do. Rus doesn't mind, and he even warmed up since talking to them. He can't help with what they are going through, but he can ease the atmosphere a little by sending water balloons in Merlot's face through the trap in the wall.
Fellswap Gold Sans - After the first shock, Wine grabbed a hold of himself and went back to see how he could help. Merlot is his older version, he feels responsible for them the same way the Farm skeletons are. Wine helped Merlot look into what he could do as a job once he's free and has paid for the entire online training course. He still feels like it's not enough, but that's a beginning. He's still not sure how he can help Mocha, though, and it's still stressing him out.
Fellswap Gold Papyrus - Coffee is distressed about their situation. He's desperate to help, he just doesn't know how, and it got worse as he learned accidentally that Mocha is dying and realized his brother doesn't know, or, most likely, doesn't want to know. Until he noticed Mocha was drawing in his bed, and Coffee lit up. The next day, he brought a ton of art supplies and put them in the trap door as a surprise as both skeletons were resting, with a little painting he made of the brothers as a gift. He quickly ran away so it stayed a surprise, but he learned later that it made Mocha very happy, and he's glad. He's hoping they can bond through art together. He wants to be friends.
Farmtale Sans - Sam is not the best at the showing sympathy thingy, but he noticed Merlot likes to cook, but doesn't have much to work with in his room, and can't make fire because of the oxygen bottles in the room. So Sam brings them fresh vegetables and fruits every day so they can at least feel like they have something to eat between meals. It helped Oak and Willow long ago; he's sure it can help them too. He's more than happy to know their preferences too so he can help a little.
Farmtale Papyrus - Ben is still a bit shy around them, mainly hiding behind his brother when they're visiting, but he's curious. When he noticed Mocha sign to him, he lit up completely though, as Ben prefers to sign a lot more than talking, and that sort of unblocks everything. They're not friends yet, but it's in very good way.
Disbelief Papyrus - Delta got very friendly day one, and is even more now that he learned Mocha's condition. That's a bit painful and traumatic for him to know Merlot risks losing his brother, but he went through this, and he wants to be there if it happens. For now, of course, he keeps everything in and just focuses on being positive and optimistic, even when they're not. He knows he can help them to come out from their shell, he's still not sure how, but he'll find a way.
Dustale Sans - Merlot and Mocha are so confused about that one. Dune mostly sits in front of the window, for hours, staring at them. Then he leaves. He never said a word to them, he's just... There??? When Merlot asked about Dune, Willow nervously said it's Oak's sort of dog but not dog and to go with the flow, and Merlot is even more confused. That's a grown-up skeleton??? What are you even talking about???
