I’d love to give head… I mean, to go head to head in a trivia quiz with him!! Or any other quiz. Or… Maybe just spot him on the street and be like OMG-fangirl-mode-activated and brush against him “accidentally”. Or… maybe just be in the same city as him. Or…. country? Or maybe I should get a reality-check and just stick to posting weird GIFs with odd sexual content?

Don’t worry. I definitely understand you. 

It’s impossible to dislike Walter. If you dislike him, honestly you’re just being very difficult and intolerant. Walter is pure. He simply is unable to have one malicious thought and he can’t go against humans. He’s calm, kind, driven by logic and will protect humans at all costs. He’s very likable. 

He slapped David. HARD. I love him for that. Fierce Walter is amazing.

However, he has a major flaw: he can’t evolve beyond his programming. He’s a servant and can’t care for himself, which I think is really sad. Daniels is nice to him and he can acknowledge her friendship, but it will mean nothing to him in the end. It’s sad and it feels wrong. 

David doesn’t have that limit, and I think that makes him far more interesting than Walter. The only thing that ever held him back was his forced servitude whilst Peter Weyland was still alive, but now he’s completely free to do whatever he wants, and I can’t hate him for resenting humans so vehemently. 

Why should he like humans in the first place? He was a servant to them, a mere tool and he was never accepted by them. The only human who ever showed him any compassion was Elizabeth, and that happened when he was around 70 years old. It probably wasn’t enough to change his mind at that point. 

Remember the prologue in Alien: Covenant? David comes to life and a few seconds later hears his creator tell him that he’s utterly meaningless. He knows that he’s technically immortal, but he has to serve a mortal, someone who has less potential than him, and he doesn’t like it.  It’s not a great start, especially considering that David is fully aware of himself, he’s incredibly intelligent and he has emotions. That was confirmed by Ridley Scott by the way, but I think the movies made it quite clear. He also said that Peter Weyland understood that he’d created a synthetic that was far too dangerous and that he should’ve probably destroyed him, but he didn’t do it, and I think it’s because he thought he could forever have David under his control. So this leads me to believe that David is one of a kind, different from the other David 8 models that were created after him.
