In another universe, I am lovable
I want you
Respectfully
How polite! ...What am I wanted for exactly?
2009
i'm not on the level of perfume enjoying that other people might be, but i've begun building an unexpected little collection recently (my favourites being from sabrina carpenter's perfume line: sweet tooth and cherry baby) and i'm now wondering: what would a good jervis perfume smell like? out of my own personal bias, i'd like to think that something similar to sweet tooth would be something he'd enjoy, but for my take on jervis, i think the fragrance would have to be a little more complicated than just sweet. here's my basic thoughts on what would give his vibes + what he might weaar because i genuinely don't have an answer, i just want to ramble. if there are any fragranceheads out there to give input, i'd love it.
one! i don't think the smell will be all that masculine. unisex at most, probably more feminine. i find that most scents targeted towards men are a lot... sharper? less mild? harsh? that doesn't feel like the type he'd gravitate towards. note: this may also be due to personal bias because out of the few times i've used more masculine fragrances, i've just ended up smelling like someone's uncle. not in a fun way. two! the base notes will probably end up somewhat powdery. i gravitate towards vanilla but i like the idea of musk as well. something that kind of melts into his skin naturally. i like the idea of the heart notes (the CUTEST term that i just learned while researching and rambling about this) being something floral as well. i want the scent to linger very distinctly but also be mild enough to not feel invasive. just. Very Present. the room's he's been are left with the faint smell of him, even after he's left. it feels like he's just... standing in the corner out of sight somewhere. three! cool bottle and weird ass top notes. i'm not well versed enough in strange perfumes to give a proper description but this is what i imagine for my jervis. jervi (plural) may vary but i think it fits for a majority of his characterizations. interesting top notes i found while googling which may or may not fit jervis: industrial glue, cannabis (i. would not light a blunt with this guy frankly.), old lace, blinding light, bitter almond, chekov's gun... i confess that the last three are stolen from last birthday cake.
have i been perfume shopping too much? have i floated on these websites too long? is it colliding with my weird obsession with jervis? yeah.

Why is his tie so big?
Admittedly I know very little about ties without the aid of Google, but I think it may be intended to be an early-90s kipper tie.
"In the mid-1990s, kipper ties made a comeback due to a resurgence of interest in 1970s fashion.[5] These were typically darker and less kitsch than those from its heyday."
Aside from just being older and British, if it's intentional I think this could be a really interesting design choice specifically because these WERE very colorful, whimsical ties originally, and then that aspect died off. It would be appropriate for the character as Paul Dini headcanoned that Jervis went through a lot of severe bullying and social difficulties that led to him withdrawing into himself and sort of staying that way. Thus the style of tie that was once very colorful and silly, now plain and dark and quiet.
trips and falls and spills new headcanons everywhere
Adding onto your observation, what's interesting to me is that Jervis' bowtie is still black when he becomes the Mad Hatter. In changing his tie from the resigned, work-toiled kipper to the charismatic bowtie, of all the style options he could have chosen from, he still chooses black. As though his downcast spirits are still an unresolved facet of his life, even when he puts on the show of a confident and charming man. In trying to reinvent his image, a piece of the melancholy still remained.
Honestly if you wanna get real crazy with this, if you actually look closely at John Tenniels illustration of the mad hatter you can see:
The Mad Hatters tie isnt actually a bowtie, but a normal tie tied up like its a bowtie. thats why one side of it is pointed. and tbh itd be a cool metaphor for btas jervis, that just because hes changed how its tied, doesnt change what the tie actually is. Just like how dressing like the Mad Hatter doesnt actually change the fact hes still Jervis Tetch
Look how happy he is.
I am back with another fun fact!!! (Haha that ryhmed)
Anyway, Crows are able to mimic human sounds, or just a variety of sounds in general! This is most likely either so they can better communicate with other crows in the area, and sometimes to try and interact with humans too! The mimicry with hunans is usually most common towards humans they recognize or enjoy the company of!!! Crows are also capable of recognizing facial features, which is why if you feed a crow in a certain area or at a certain time, it may come back to check to see if you'll feed it again. This phenomenon also causes crows to remember if you did something negative to them or the others in their murder.
I love crows.
All this chatting about corvids has reminded me of a certain someone else I know... I won't discredit these birds. Not always nice or friendly how-de-do birds, no, but they're very, very clever things!
Thank you for supplementing me with the animal facts once again! I do miss hearing from others...
Im in the pussy like forgive me if this is uncouth

Oh, but how could you blame such a darling face?
...
I don't know whose that is, to be completely earnest.
what if we dye batman blonde before putting him in the Alice dress?
I WILL HAVE NO PART IN THIS.
I've been enjoying my peace as of recent... aimlessly searching for a new trouble to tackle hardly seems enjoyable right now. Besides, he's an ill-fitting Alice. No good, no good...
