friendly reminder that moments like sitting in the sun, waking up well-rested, discovering a song that makes you feel your heart and laughing with someone will find you again. clouds will dissipate and the sun will sink and rise and the moon will be full and bright outside of your window, and life will stop feeling this heavy. in the meantime, we’ll try. sometimes that’ll feel like enough and sometimes it won’t, but that’s okay. you’re here and that’s an achievement and that’s good and it matters.

ok i need everyone to listen to me bc too many people are coming to me with this one: your work is not your identity. hustle culture is dead and working 24/7 isn’t sustainable or fun. what do you like to do outside of creating? what do you like to do outside of the service or action you’ve monetized? what do you like to do outside of consuming media (tv, movies, music, etc.)? are you outside away from consumerism? are you connecting with others outside of your service/action? are you closer to burn out than you are to being relaxed? how can you change that— better time management, better organizational skills, better boundaries? your work is not your identity, you’re probably younger than 30 yrs old— you have so much life left to live, be better to all versions of yourself in order to do better in all versions of yourself.
