Oughhhh it's hard to pick ... There are a lot but Dorohedoro might be my all time fav. It's hard to say but it's just incredible. Q Hayashida's background in mixed-media art lends itself to her incredible textural choices and her really striking, gestural line work amazes me every time. Her stories are really winding and labyrinthine while maintaining such an odd and off kilter tone. Her sense of humor is really unique and gives a lot of strength to humanizing her characters despite them all having such bizarre and often inhumane lives and goals.

In a similar vein but very different side of manga, Keiichi Arawi's work on Nichijou and City are shining examples of the effectiveness of a clean and simple style given the care and expertise necessary to expand it into a detailed and lived in world. His sense for interlocking the lives of his huge casts of characters reminds me a lot of Hayashida, but more towards the goal of these perfectly timed and long stretching gags that really deftly weave through the timing he imbues in his paneling and sense of motion and inertia (or lack thereof) that he exhibits in his application of texture and shape.
