I WILL GET ON MY HANDS AND KNEES FOR SOME GOOD OL FINNICK ODAIR FLUFF AND COMFORT ALR After the arena is shot down, reader and Finnick desperately attempt to find each other in District 13. I'm talking reader is FIGHTING to get out of the hospital bed and screaming for Finnick. What would he do? Thank you if you fulfill this request, and remember to take care of yourself!! <333
devotion
finnick odair x reader
synopsis: you would’ve died without him, and now he’s all you can think of
screams erupted from your medical room. nurses and staff had been knocked unconscious on the floor, and you were scrambling to get out of the room but one of the stronger male nurses has his arms around your waist stopping you from moving.
you grunted in his arms, “where’s finnick?!” you were blind with rage and fear, unsure of your surroundings you had tried to fight them all off. perhaps the capitol had captured you, and this was part of your torture. desiring to find finnick and unable to seemed like a good method.
the male nurse didn’t say anything and you finally maneuvered an escape, your shoulder knocking back into his face, causing him to fall behind you.
you broke free just as hit the ground and you launched yourself to the door, banging on it until you heard the glass begin to crack.
haymitch had observed you and had been overhearing matching screams coming from down the hall. he turned to the doctors who had opted to stay out of the room, all deep in their patient notes. he raised his eyebrows, “just let the poor girl out. or else she’ll shatter that glass like she did the skulls of your staff.” he bluntly commented and the doctors all raised their heads in concern.
he scoffed as they acted surprised, “and don’t get me started on the other one. he nearly killed himself to get her out. that’s devotion, and a glass wall won’t stop that.”
finnick had been freaking out. he felt disoriented, shaky and confused when he awoke, and it hadn’t stopped since. you were nowhere to be found, and he had attacked all the staff who refused to give him answers on your whereabouts. he tried to find any sign that he was in thirteen, but to no avail. any markings had either been erased or hidden from view.
he emptied out a medical cart looking for anything sharp, throwing the rest of the materials at the window to break it down, he yelled in anger at the frustration of it not breaking.
meanwhile, you on the other hand had been bleeding as you finally broke through the glass. your knuckles and arms were embedded with glass but you had stepped through to find a bunch of doctors looking at you with shock.
you were going to attack them as well, but once you heard his screams, it sent you flying down the hall. you ran as fast as you could, your hospital gown dragging behind you as you did, you finally made it to the origins of the screams. inside a room just like yours, finnick was sitting with things made out to be weapons around him.
and as you banged on the glass, looking for a handle, you screamed his name.
the handle clicked open as you grabbed it and in you ran, finnick exhaling with relief as you jumped into his arms, he nearly cried as he held you.
“finn-“ you cried, holding him tightly, he didn’t feel real, none of this did.
“they were just watching me- watched me hurt all those people to get to you and they didn’t care.” you whispered, “i’m scared finnick.”
finnick nodded, “it’s okay. katniss and beetee should be here too, it’ll be alright.” he tried to reassure you, but the bodies behind him mirrored the same thing.
“i love you.” you whispered, “i love love love love you..” you kissed him, “don’t- don’t do that to me again. don’t leave me again.” your words came out breathy and frantic, and finnick could only nod to agree.
jealous finnick?
jealous finnick will be the death of me!!!!!!
finnick odair x fem!reader
Breakfast in District 13 is an unusual affair. Nothing like you’re used to, being from District 4. It’s the same every morning — boring grey oatmeal with either honey or berries, depending on the day. It’s only as you take your seat next to Finnick that you realise you’ve forgotten the very crucial toppings.
“Oh no, I forgot to get berries,” you bemoan. They’re definitely all gone by now, seeing as they’re in popular demand — the oatmeal served in 13 tastes like cardboard without them.
“Here, have mine,” Gale says from across the table. You open your mouth to protest but he’s already spooning a big heap of berries into your bowl. They bleed red and purple into your otherwise plain oatmeal. “I don’t like ‘em, anyway. Too sour.”
“Oh.” You smile at him, flattered. Gale’s been nothing but kind to you since you arrived in District 13. You haven’t put it down to anything other than friendliness. Though it’s possible you’re too enamoured with the blonde next to you that you’re completely oblivious to other men’s advances. “Thanks, Gale.”
Gales smiles back and shrugs. “No problem, Y/N.”
Next to you and unbeknownst to you, Finnick scowls. He hates that Gale’s so nice to you. Loathes it. He knows it’s because you’re a ray of sunshine who draws even the coldest of people in (believe him, he’s experienced it), but the fact that Gale gave you his berries before Finnick could even offer his makes his blood boil.
Who does he think he is? Everyone knows you’re Finnick’s girl, he’s made it very clear. It’s the whole reason you’re here, after all — Finnick specifically requested you be picked up from home before the Quarter Quell ended, to prevent anything from happening to you.
Breakfast passes without further incident. If you notice Finnick’s sour mood, you don’t mention it. You’re leaving the canteen with everyone else when Finnick grabs your waist and pulls you to the side, into an empty hallway. He peers over your shoulder to make sure Gale’s good and gone, watching the back of his head with a glare that could kill, before turning his attention to you.
“Finnick,” you say, clearly confused at his sudden manhandling. “What’s the matter with you? Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” Finnick says shortly.
“You look mad.”
“I’m not.”
You squint at him. “You’re definitely mad. Why are you—?”
Finnick forgoes restraint and yanks you forward, pressing his mouth to yours before you can say anything else. His chest burns with molten hot jealousy, it climbs up his throat and pours into the kiss, hot and sticky. The heat ebbs though, when you kiss him back just as fervently, replaced by a fuzzy warmth only you can make him feel. It buzzes in his chest and down his arms, flares out his palm as he takes your face into one hot hand.
He pulls back just as suddenly as he’d drawn in. “You know Gale’s flirting with you, right?” He says abruptly, thumb pressed to your cheekbone.
You blink up at him, still dazed from his kissing. “What?” You ask, half laughing. “No, he’s not.”
“He is. He gave you his berries. I was going to give you mine.”
You raise both eyebrows. “He was just being nice to me.”
“Yeah, well, that’s my job.”
Finnick supposes he sounds quite pathetic. He doesn’t really care, not when your eyes go all gooey and you reach up on your tiptoes to push a curl from his forehead.
“Are you jealous?” You ask him softly, tucking his hair behind his ear. Your breath fans over his mouth and your hand lingers at his throat. “You sound jealous.”
Finnick rolls his eyes. “So what if I am? Just— have mine next time, okay?”
You smile at him, pretty as starlight. “Okay. But you don’t have to be jealous, you know? I only want you.”
Woah, Finnick thinks. “I know,” he says, too quick, his voice a notch too high.
You raise your eyebrows at him. “Do you though?” You ask, definitely teasing now. He supposes he got off lucky, you could’ve done much worse finding out he’s so sickeningly jealous over Gale, of all people.
Still, Finnick narrows his eyes at you. “Alright, that’s enough.”
Your answering giggle is smothered as Finnick swoops in to kiss you again.

thank you for reading! please consider reblogging if u enjoyed 🤍
So I've been wanting to read a fic where reader is Nancy's older sister and she and steve have been friends when they were kids but then stop being friends when king steve happened so they're kinda enemies now, especially when he dated nancy and reader had feelings for steve. And it happens in season 5 where a demo went to the wheelers house and reader got badly injured, and reader does not know a single thing about the upside down.
by my side
Pairing: Steve Harrington x female!wheeler reader
Warnings: blood (like a lot). angst (big time). angst/comfort. hurt / comfort. friends to enemies to lovers. no use of y/n.
_______________
The Wheeler front door was hanging open.
Nancy reached it first. "Holly!" Her voice echoed through the house but there was no answer.
Only silence.
Then a weak cry echoed from the walls. "Na… Nancy…"
It came from the hallway. Steve's head snapped toward the sound. His stomach dropped. You were lying on the hardwood floor, one hand clutched against your side. Blood had pooled beneath you, spreading slowly across the floorboards.
The fireplace poker was still lying a few feet away, bent as if you'd swung it hard enough to warp the metal.
For one horrifying second… Steve couldn't move. It was like his body refused to accept what his eyes were seeing. You bleeding and shaking. Trying so hard to stay awake.
"…No." The word escaped him before he even realized he'd spoken.
Nancy rushed toward you, dropping to her knees. "Oh my God."
Eleven was already scanning the house. "Holly is alive."
Nancy looked up. "Find her."
Eleven nodded once and disappeared upstairs.
Nancy looked at Steve. "We have to call the paramedics or she will bleed out."
Steve's eyes never left you. "I've got her."
Nancy hesitated. Then squeezed your shoulder. "I'm coming back."
And she was gone. Leaving the two of you alone. Steve crossed the room so quickly he almost slipped on the blood.
He landed on his knees beside you, immediately his hands hovered over the wound. "…Hey."
His voice shook. He hated that. He swallowed and tried again. "Hey."
You looked at him through unfocused eyes. "…Steve?"
"I'm here." His jacket was off before another second had passed. He folded it quickly, pressing it firmly against your side.
The second he applied pressure you cried out in agony. The sound cut straight through him.
"I know, I`m sorry." His voice cracked. "I know, sweetheart."
"... sorry."
"No." He shook his head immediately. "Don't apologize."
"It hurts," you said shutting your eyes in pain. "I can't…" Your breathing hitched. "I can't breathe."
"Yes, you can."
"I don't think I—"
"You can." His hand found yours and he squeezed it tightly. "Look at me."
Your eyes darted everywhere except his. The blood, the hallway, the ceiling. Anywhere but him.
"Look at me."
This time you did. "I cant ... cant"
His voice had become impossibly gentle. "I need you to stay with me."
"I'm trying."
"I know you are, sweetheart."
"I don't…" A tear rolled down your cheek. "…I don't know what that thing was."
Steve felt his own throat tighten. "It doesn't matter right now."
"It tried to…" Another shaky breath. "It tried to kill Holly." Your voice broke completely. "I couldn't let it hurt her... but it still took her."
"I know."
"I hit it."
"You did."
"It didn't…" Your eyes filled with fresh tears. "It didn't care."
Steve blinked hard. Not now. You need to hold it together now.
He pressed more firmly against the wound. You whimpered. "I'm sorry." He hated saying it. He hated hurting you. But he hated the blood even more. "You have to keep talking to me."
"I'm scared." You wrapped your numb fingers around his wrist. "I'm really scared."
Steve's heart broke. "I know."
"I don't want to die." The words were so quiet… He almost wished he hadn't heard them.
"No." His answer came immediately. "You won`t."
"What if—"
"No."
Your breathing grew faster. "What if I don't make it?"
"You will." Steve reached up with his free hand. Very carefully… He brushed your hair away from your damp forehead. Just like he used to when you were twelve. When scraped knees had been the biggest emergency either of you had ever known.
"Hey." Your eyes found his again. "I need you to listen to me."
You nodded weakly.
"I have fought monsters. I've survived things I shouldn't have." You blinked up at him. "I've been through hell." His thumb gently wiped away a tear from your cheek. "And I have never…" His own voice threatened to break. "…never met anyone as stubborn as you."
Despite everything… a tiny laugh escaped you.
Your fingers tightened desperately around his hand. "I thought…" You swallowed painfully. "…I thought you stopped."
Steve froze. "What?"
"When…" Your breathing trembled. "…when you changed."
High school. King Steve. The years between you.
"I thought…" Another tear. "…you forgot about me."
His face crumpled. "How could you think that? I never forgot you."
"You didn't?"
"I couldn't." His eyes burned. "I tried." A broken laugh. "I tried really hard to pretend I didn't care."
"Why?"
"Because…" He looked down at your joined hands. "…I knew I didn't deserve you. How could I?"
You stared at him.
"I hurt you and I hated myself for it." Another silence. "I still…" He laughed shakily. "…I still remember how you took my hand on the first day of kindergarten because I was crying."
You smiled faintly. "You cried because you missed your mom."
"I did."
"You had dinosaur shoes."
"They lit up."
"They did."
"You thought they made you run faster."
"They absolutely did."
You laughed again. Only a little. But it was enough. Enough to keep you here.
Steve looked toward the front door. Where are the paramedics? Come on. Please.
His eyes returned to you immediately. "Stay with me. Please."
Your eyelids fluttered.
"No, no." His grip tightened. "Don't close your eyes."
"I'm tired."
He sobbed. "I know."
"So tired."
"But you don't get to sleep yet."
You smiled weakly. "Bossy."
"I learned that from Dustin."
That earned him another tiny smile. Good. Keep talking. Keep smiling. Keep breathing.
You looked at him for a long moment. "…Steve?"
"Yeah?"
"If I…" You hesitated. "If this is really bad…"
His stomach dropped. "…don't."
"I just…"
"You don't get to say goodbye."
"I wasn't."
Steve shook his head almost violently. "You were about to."
"I just wanted to tell you—"
"No." His voice cracked so sharply it surprised both of you. "No, please." Tears spilled down his cheeks now. He didn't even try to hide them anymore. "You are not saying goodbye to me."
"Steve…"
"You hear me?" His forehead rested carefully against yours. "So don't you dare."
For just a second… Neither of you spoke. You could feel him shaking. He was terrified and trying so desperately not to let you see it.
Very gently… He lifted his head. His lips brushed your forehead. A soft, lingering kiss. The kind that carried years of words he'd never said.
"You are not leaving me." His whisper trembled against your skin. "I've already lost too much." His thumb stroked your hand once. "So stay." Another kiss to your forehead. "Please."
Sirens came in earshot. Faint at first. Then closer. Steve closed his eyes for one brief moment.
Thank God.
When he opened them again… You were still looking at him. Still awake. Still holding his hand.
And for now… That was enough.

The night had started with the kind of heat that made everyone irritable.
It clung to the pavement outside Family Video, rose in lazy waves from the parking lot, and pressed against the glass doors until the air-conditioning inside had begun making a tired sound.
You had been standing behind the counter for almost six hours, rewinding a stack of returned tapes while Robin argued with a customer about late fees in a tone that suggested she had already died once today and had no patience for doing it again.
Steve had been shelving horror movies in the back aisle, though you knew he had mostly been watching you between gaps in the shelves.
It’s my guilty pleasure ✌🏽😔
Gravitate to you
requested

_______________
Steve wasn't trying to be smooth. He was trying to be…Well. Normal. Unfortunately, "normal" tended to disappear the second you smiled at him.
It started with your hair.
The two of you had volunteered to help decorate the community center for Hawkins' annual summer fair, which meant ladders, boxes of paper lanterns, and Robin loudly insisting that every ribbon was "slightly crooked."
You were standing beside Steve, trying to untangle a string of lights. When a breeze drifted through the open windows and a loose strand of your hair fell across your face.
Without thinking… Steve reached over. His fingers barely brushed your cheek as he tucked it gently behind your ear. "There." He smiled. "Thought you might want to actually see what you're doing."
Your entire body froze. "…Oh." Then, after the shortest silence imaginable you took one quick step backward.
Steve's smile faltered. "…Sorry."
"No!" The answer came too fast. "I mean—" Your gaze was suddenly glued to the floor.
"I just…" You laughed nervously. "I have to…" You pointed vaguely toward absolutely nothing. "…go."
Then you practically speed-walked away. Steve blinked, to stunned to even breathe. Robin watched the whole thing from across the room.
"…Well." Steve looked at her. "I messed that up."
The second incident happened three days later at the Family Video.
You reached for the same VHS tape at exactly the same time and your fingers brushed. Steve smiled instinctively. You looked at him and your heart did a complete somersault.
He smiled. Your brain promptly packed its bags and left.
You yanked your hand back so quickly you almost dropped the tape. "Sorry!"
Steve frowned. "It's okay."
"No, I—" You laughed waaay too loudly. "I should…" Another vague gesture. "…Alphabetize something."
You disappeared into the next aisle.
Steve stood there holding The Princess Bride. "…What just happened?"
Then came the fair.
You'd spent the afternoon helping Steve run one of the game booths. He kept making you laugh, while you kept trying not to stare at him.
Neither attempt was particularly successful.
Late in the afternoon, Steve leaned closer to hear you over the crowd. "You've got paint…" He smiled. "…right here." He pointed to the corner of your mouth.
"Oh!" Instinctively, you tried wiping it away.
"No, other side."
"This side?"
"No." He chuckled. "Here." Before he could think better of it, his thumb lightly brushed the tiny streak of blue paint from your cheek.
It lasted less than a second, but your heart nearly exploded.
"Oh." Your voice squeaked. You took two entire steps backward.
Steve's hand dropped immediately. "I'm sorry."
"No, it's okay."
"No…" His smile had disappeared now. "I shouldn't have…"
"No, really." You were blushing so hard you thought you might actually catch fire. "I just…" Words. Where had words gone?
"I have to go help Mrs. Henderson."
"…She's over there."
"I know." You pointed in the opposite direction. "…Exactly." Then you fled.
Steve watched you disappear into the crowd. His stomach sank and he felt like the worst person that had ever walked the earth.
By evening he couldn't stop thinking about it.
Three times. Three different days. Every time he'd gotten a little closer… You'd moved away.
Maybe Robin was right. Maybe he'd been too obvious. Maybe he'd made you uncomfortable.
The thought sat like a stone in his chest.
He hated it even more than rejection. More than embarrassment. The idea that you might not feel safe around him made him feel physically sick.
So… just after sunset… Steve knocked on your front door. You opened it wearing an oversized sweatshirt and socks.
You smiled when you saw him. Then immediately looked confused. "Steve?"
"Hey."
"Everything okay?"
He rubbed the back of his neck. "Can we…" He nodded toward the porch swing. "…Talk?"
A few minutes later you were sitting side by side in the warm evening air.
Steve couldn't look at you. "I owe you an apology."
You frowned. "For what?"
He laughed softly. "For apparently making you uncomfortable all week."
Your eyebrows shot up. "…What?"
He sighed. "I noticed how you moved away when I came too close to you and I`m so incredibly sorry."
Your stomach dropped.
"I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable or that you are not safe with me. I would never force myself on you like that ... well I guess I kinda did that ..."
He dragged a hand down his face. "God, I`m so so sorry."
"I know."
"I just…" His shoulders slumped. "I think I got carried away."
"Steve?"
"…Yeah?"
"Can you look at me?"
He finally did. You were trying very hard not to smile. "You thought…" You covered your mouth. "…that I was uncomfortable?"
He blinked. "Weren't you?"
For one long moment you simply stared at him. Then you laughed with complete disbelief. "Oh my God."
Steve looked even more worried. "Was I really that bad?"
"No!" You reached for his hand without even thinking. The contact made him stop talking instantly. "No, Steve."
You shook your head. "I wasn't uncomfortable."
"You weren't?"
"I was…" Your cheeks warmed immediately. "Oh man how should I put it?."
"What?"
"This is so embarrassing."
"You don't have to tell me."
"No." You smiled shyly. "I think I should."
Steve waited.
"I moved away because…" You laughed at yourself. "…I forgot how to function."
He stared. "What?"
"I've never…" You looked down at your joined hands. "…had someone flirt with me before."
Steve's heart skipped a beat. Yeah he flirted with you. Hard and with everything he got. And he couldn`t understand the fact that nobody did before.
"So when you tucked my hair behind my ear…" You hid your face for a second. "…my brain completely shut down."
His mouth fell open.
"And when our hands touched at Family Video…" A tiny smile. "…I spent the next ten minutes pretending to organize shelves because I couldn't remember the alphabet."
Steve actually laughed. "You couldn't…"
"I genuinely couldn't." He laughed harder. "I got to 'G' three times."
"Oh my God."
"And then…" You groaned. "…at the fair?"
Steve smiled. "You practically ran away from me. I felt like a deadly disease."
"I know." You looked at him through your fingers. "But you smiled at me first. As if that's a normal thing to do!"
"It is!"
"Not when you look like that!"
Steve blinked. "…Like what?"
"Like…" You took a deep breath. "Like I'm the only person you're looking at. And with those eyes? Give a girl a break!"
His expression softened.
"So every time you smiled…" Your voice became smaller. "…or accidentally brushed my hand…I felt like my heart was trying to climb out of my chest."
Steve had gone completely still.
"And I moved away because I was scared that if I stayed…" You looked up at him. "…you'd notice how hopelessly in love with you I am."
Silence. Complete silence. Steve's face turned the most spectacular shade of pink.
You blinked. "…Steve?"
He opened his mouth but nothing came out.
"…Steve?"
He laughed once. Very quietly. "I spent…" Another laugh. "…an entire week convincing myself I was the worst guy in Hawkins."
"Oh god. I`m so sorry."
"I thought I'd scared you."
"You absolutely did." His face fell. "No!" You quickly squeezed his hand. "Not like that."
A smile spread across your face. "You scared me because you kept doing incredibly sweet things…and I didn't know what to do with all the butterflies."
Steve looked at you as though the world had just tilted on its axis.
"So…" He smiled, almost shyly now. "…if I did this again…"
Very slowly, giving you every chance to move… He reached up. His fingertips gently tucked another loose strand of hair behind your ear.
This time you didn't step away, instead you leaned into his touch. Just a little.
Steve's smile grew. "That is the reaction I was hoping for."
You smiled back. "That was the reaction all along, I just needed a little longer to understand."
"I`m glad because I dont think I can stay away from you any longer after tonight." He laughed softly. "I love you too, sweetheart."
You reached up, your fingers finding his wrist. "So…"
"So?"
"You can keep flirting with me."
Steve's eyebrows lifted. "Yeah?"
You nodded. "I'll probably still get flustered."
"That's okay. I kinda love it actually."
"I might still forget how words work."
"I think that's kind of adorable."
You laughed. "Just…" You looked up at him with the sweetest, most bashful smile he'd ever seen. "…don't mistake butterflies for fear."
Steve's heart melted on the spot. "I won't."
And when he leaned in to kiss you, you didn't run away. You smiled into the kiss and afterwards Steve wondered how he'd ever mistaken that look for anything other than love.

DIRTY DANCING || s.h.
PAIRING: Steve Harrington x fem!reader
SUMMARY: Where you and Steve attempt the iconic Dirty Dancing lift.
WHAT TO EXPECT: domestic fluff, mild suggestive content
A/N: silly and sweet lil fic! guys i don’t play about dirty dancing, it has to be one of my fav movies from the 80s.
WORD COUNT: 1.1k
Your body was bonelessly draped over Steve’s like a toss blanket as the afternoon light filtered through the Harringtons’ living room curtains. Your cheek rested against the warm plane of his bare cheat, rising and falling with each lazy breath he took. The steady thrum of his heartbeat beneath your ear made you sigh in contentment. It was the start of the most perfect evening.
Your fingertips traced idle patterns across his skin, skimming over the ridges of his ribs and the lush, silky hair that spanned his sternum. Up and down, and up and down; you mapped the topography of him like you’d done a hundred times before. Your thigh was hooked over his gray sweatpant-clad legs. His right arm was heavy on the small of your back while his left hand was occupied twisting a strand of your hair around his index finger.
“Your parents are definitely gone this week, right?” you murmured against his skin, your breath ghosting over his collarbone.
Steve hummed, feeling the vibration on your cheek. “Why? You have something in mind?” He asked allusively.
“No—I mean, yes, always,” you corrected yourself. “It’s just that I don’t want to stop playing house with you.”
Domesticity came so naturally to you and Steve. He would fire up the charcoal grill out back as he was exceptionally good at grilling everything you gave him, while you fussed with the vegetables and dessert for later in the kitchen. Afterward, he’d stand at the sink in just his sweatpants washing the dishes, while you folded the laundry, trying not to drool as you watched the muscles in his back shift beneath his freckled skin.
Then after the dishes were in the dishwasher, the laundry was put away, and you were cuddled into Steve, you finally played rock, paper, scissors to determine who picked the movie for the night. Your rock won to his paper, so tonight was your pick, which meant Dirty Dancing.
You’d seen it maybe twenty times, but you couldn’t help yourself for you were a creature of habit. You could quote every line before the characters could say it, you memorized some of the basic dance moves Johnny taught Baby, and you gushed every time Patrick Swayze would come on the screen. Like a good boyfriend, Steve never once complained. Well, he did complain, but only about you fangirling over Patrick Swayze. Other than that, he sat through it with you on at least a dozen separate occasions, making silent, snide remarks about your celebrity crush.
The scene where Johnny and Baby practiced the iconic lift in the lake came on the tube TV. You extended one arm, pointing your finger at the television without lifting your head from Steve’s chest. “You think you can do that?”
The strand of your hair that he played with slipped from his fingers as he gestured vaguely toward the set. “Yeah, yeah,” he said with that King Steve swagger. “I can do that. Easy.” You hummed against his skin, eating up his confidence. “Crazy they couldn’t even do it until the last scene, y’know?”
“Well,” you countered, pushing yourself up onto your forearms, palms flattening against the broad expanse of his pecs. “Baby didn’t truly trust him until the end.”
Steve dragged his gaze from the television to you. He tucked his left arm behind his head, the position causing his thick and veined bicep to flex. You couldn’t help yourself as your fingertips unashamedly grazed the swell of his muscle, tracing the valley of his brachial vein.
“And you’d trust me doin’ that?” One eyebrow arched.
You knew Steve well enough to know he'd never agree to this if he thought he might fail in front of you. He needed a little push. So you let your lips curve into a smile and leaned into the praise he so desperately needed to hear.
“Of course I trust you, Stevie baby.” You let the pet name you only used on occasions like these drip like honey from your lips. His Adam’s apple bobbed as you fluttered your lashes with theatrical innocence. “You’re so muscular. Look at you.” Your palm slid from his bicep to his shoulder, squeezing. “You’re so strong. Don’t you remember what you did last night?”
You pushed up further, hovering over him now, and pressed a kiss to the center of his chest, tasting the salt of his skin. You placed another kiss lower. All the while, your eyes stayed locked on his, watching the flush spread up his neck, across his nose, burning the tips of his ears crimson.
“Yeah,” he breathed out. “I remember.” Steve cleared his throat, trying to reclaim some confidence even as his cheeks were blushed. “I can do that. Better than Swayze.”
“Yeah, Stevie,” you whispered, bringing your face level with his. You brushed the tip of your nose against his in a butterfly-light touch. “Better than Swayze.” He chased your lips immediately, his lips parting to seek yours, but you pulled back just enough to deny him with a teasing smile.
“Hey!” he whined.
“C’mon, stand up, hot stuff.” You swing your leg over him to stand, not taking no for an answer as you pry him from the couch. “Up, up, up! It’s time to dirty dance!”
You positioned yourself a few paces away, grounding your feet into the plush carpet like you were a bull and Steve was the bull fighter. He wiped his hand over his jaw, trying to compose himself, then set his hands on his hips.
“Okay, all you have to do is catch me at the waist—right here.” You tapped your sides for emphasis. “Get a good grip, and then lift me over your head. Easy peasy!”
“Yeah, yeah, easy peasy,” he repeated, staring at you for a beat and wiping his palms on his gray sweats.
“Perfect,” you chirped. “Okay ready—”
You didn’t even wait for him to get ready and just started running towards him clumsily, arms outstretched like Baby’s but lacking any of her technique.
Steve’s eyes widened. “Ahh—wait, wait!”
You crashed into him full force, taking the both of you down in a tangle of limbs, shrieks, and curses. The back of his head thunked against the carpet, causing his breath to whoosh out of his lungs as you landed flat on top of him.
“Easy peasy,” Steve wheezed, but he was grinning and you both burst out into laughter.
“Sorry, I got excited,” you defended, still giggling, your face buried in the crook of his neck.
His hands found your waist, rolling you over so that you were beneath him. Steve’s weight settled comfortably over you. He smiled down at you as his hair fell into his eyes. Brushing your nose with his, then your cheek, he kissed you slowly and sweetly.
“Next time,” he murmured against your lips, “we’re doing the lift for real.”
“Yeah? Really?” you were surprised he even suggested giving it another shot.
“Yeah.” Steve quickly kissed your lips again. “Maybe warn me first.”

Fred Weasley x Ron’s best friend
Summery| Fred Weasley has a huge crush on his brother’s best friend, but she’s completely oblivious. Between teasing her about her handwriting, stealing her food, and randomly braiding her hair, Fred thinks he’s flirting — she just thinks he’s annoying
Tropes|best friends brother|teasing|slow burn ish| Friends to lovers
Ps-can you tell I’m going through my drafts?
Hiii, so I had this thought about the Weasley boys recently and I need it written out. And it’s that I saw how Ron got pretty jealous sometimes over Hermione and it had me thinking “what if all of the Weasleys got easily jealous as well” so I was wondering if you could make a George Weasley x reader fic were George gets jealous and he doesn’t fully realize why he’s jealous until someone calls it out please. And only if you are able to could the reader be slytherin but the house honestly doesn’t matter. 😊🌺
Awe this is so cute! Thank you for the request!
Say it, Weasley - George Weasley
George didn’t even realize he was glaring until Angelina nudged him in the ribs.
“Oi,” she hissed, raising a brow. “If looks could kill, Smith over there would’ve spontaneously combusted three minutes ago.”
George blinked, snapping his gaze away from where Zacharias Smith had his arm far too close to yours as you talked near the edge of the pitch. You were laughing at something — that pretty, easy laugh George had always been partial to — and you were definitely leaning a little too close back.
“I’m not glaring,” George muttered defensively, but his tone lacked conviction.
“Right,” Angelina said dryly. “And I’m not a Beater. Come off it, George. Just tell her.”
“Tell her what?” he said a little too quickly, shifting his weight and crossing his arms.
Angelina gave him a look like he was being particularly dense. “That you’re clearly halfway in love with her. Everyone knows it. Except maybe you, apparently.”
George went quiet.
He hadn’t meant to fall for a Slytherin, especially not one like you — clever, confident, with a tongue sharp enough to draw blood and a smile that made him forget his own name. You had been a surprise from the start, challenging him, teasing him, calling him out in ways no one else dared. It had been addictive. Still was.
He’d never thought about it too hard, never tried to define whatever was happening between the two of you. Friends? Something more? It had been easier not to ask. Easier not to risk ruining it.
But watching you now — your hand brushing Zacharias’ arm, your smile too bright — made his chest twist uncomfortably.
“Why him?” he muttered before he could stop himself.
Angelina snorted. “Why not you?”
Before he could answer, you were suddenly in front of him, holding a Butterbeer in each hand.
“You looked like you could use one,” you said, offering him a bottle, “or two. You’ve got this look like someone just kicked your Puffskein.”
George accepted the bottle wordlessly, eyes flickering to yours. You were wearing Slytherin green, smug and lovely, like you always were when you knew you had the upper hand.
“I’m fine,” he said.
You smirked. “You’re sulking.”
“I’m not sulking.”
“Tell that to your face,” you teased, and then softer, “You alright, Weasley?”
He hesitated.
Maybe Angelina was right. Maybe he was halfway in love with you. Hell, maybe he’d already gone the whole way and just hadn’t had the courage to admit it.
And maybe it was about time he did something about it.
“You like Zacharias?” he asked bluntly.
You blinked. “What?”
“Do you like him?”
You tilted your head, studying him. “Is that… jealousy, George Weasley?”
He scowled. “Just answer the question.”
A slow smile spread across your lips. “You know, for someone who’s usually so charming, you’re terrible at this.”
“At what?”
You took a step closer, fingers brushing the edge of his hand. “At telling someone you like them. Good thing I’m not.”
And before he could say anything else, you leaned in and kissed him — soft, deliberate, no teasing in sight. Just you and him and the fizz of everything he’d been denying.
When you pulled back, your eyes were alight with something warm and wicked.
“For the record,” you whispered, “I’d never go for someone like Zacharias. Too easy to fluster.”
George was speechless for a second. Then: “And I’m not?”
You smirked. “Oh, you are. But I like the way you look when you’re jealous.”
He groaned. “Merlin help me.”

Prefect Trouble - George Weasley
The sun was barely up when the Burrow began to stir.
You’d spent the night in Ginny’s room, crammed between a squeaky wardrobe and a stack of old Witch Weekly magazines, lulled to sleep by the soft creak of the floorboards and the scent of wildflowers drifting in through the open window. Now, wrapped in one of Molly’s oversized knit jumpers and still barefoot, you padded downstairs with Ginny for breakfast.
The kitchen already smelled like cinnamon and toast, and Molly was humming something sweet while waving her wand at a pot of tea. Chickens clucked lazily outside the open door, and the whole house seemed to hum with its usual, chaotic warmth.
You slid into a chair beside Ron, who was elbow-deep in a bowl of cereal, while Fred and George passed a sugar bowl back and forth with exaggerated, knight-like formality.
“Milord, your spoon.”
“Why thank you, good sir, may your goblet overflow with pumpkin juice.”
“You two are so exhausting in the mornings,” Ginny groaned, rubbing her eyes.
You’d just sat down at the kitchen table, still tugging at the hem of your pajama shorts, when Errol crashed into the Burrow like a half-blind cannonball, tumbling through the window and directly into the fruit bowl with a pitiful squawk and a few stray feathers.
“Blimey,” Ron muttered, digging the poor bird out. “I thought he died last week.”
“No, just built different,” Fred said solemnly, patting Errol’s crooked head.
But your attention snapped to the scroll tied to his leg, bearing a red wax seal with the Hogwarts crest.
“What’s that?” you asked, eyes narrowing suspiciously.
“Oh!” Molly gasped from behind you. “Errol only delivers school letters. Go on, dear, open it!”
You untied the scroll, fingers trembling just slightly. As you read the words, your mouth fell open.
“Congratulations, you have been chosen as a Gryffindor Prefect…”
Fred made a choking noise.
George dropped his toast.
“NO,” Fred said dramatically. “You’re one of them now?”
You looked up, stunned. “Apparently.”
George’s eyes were wide—amused, impressed, and… scheming. “This is brilliant.”
Molly gasped, practically glowing. “Oh, I knew it! You’re such a proper girl—always respectful, always tidy, finally, someone in this house setting a good example!”
You felt your cheeks flush hot under the praise, even as Fred and Ron groaned in the background.
“I’m doomed,” Ron muttered. “She’s going to give me detentions just for breathing too loud.”
“She’s going to get us killed,” Fred whispered. “We’re not built for authority.”
But George… George looked like Christmas had come early.
He leaned across the table, eyes locked on yours, that infuriating smirk playing on his lips. “Guess I’ll be seeing a lot more of you in the corridors, then, love.”
“Guess you’ll be avoiding a lot more detentions,” you replied sweetly, slipping the badge into your jumper pocket.
“Or maybe I’ll be earning them,” George murmured, resting his chin in his palm, “just for the pleasure of being escorted by the prettiest prefect Gryffindor’s ever seen.”
Molly tutted. “George Weasley! Don’t you dare corrupt her. She’s the kind of girl who could keep you in line for once.”
George glanced at you again, that wicked grin tugging at the corner of his mouth. “Oh, I’m counting on it.”
You rolled your eyes, but your smile betrayed you.
Counter Kisses - George Weasley
summary: George marks you with glitter and a kiss in the shop, just to remind everyone you’re his.
warnings: none!! just fluff :]
just realized i have written nothing for George!!
George grinned as you leaned over the counter of Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, your cheeks flushed from laughter and your nose smudged with glitter. The shop smelled like powdered fireworks and sugar, and you had never looked more at home.
“You’ve got something on your nose,” he said, stepping closer and brushing his thumb across your skin. Instead of wiping it away, he dragged a streak of blue down your cheek with a smirk.
You gave him a look. “George Weasley, if I walk around like this—”
He didn’t let you finish. His lips pressed to yours in a kiss that was soft and familiar, the kind that still made your heart race even after all this time.
When he pulled back, his eyes were twinkling. “Then everyone will know you’re mine.”
You blinked, a little dazed and a lot flustered. “I think the love bites already gave that away.”
George’s laugh was low and familiar, the kind that curled right into your chest. He tightened his hold, swaying with you gently in the middle of the chaotic, colorful shop. “Good,” he murmured. “Just wanted to be sure.”
