I donât have green hair. My paint palette just happens to have 2 shades of green/yellow/blue/brown and white, but no black⌠( ´âłď˝)
For all my friends on Tumblr whoâd actually care, I do have a comic blog about the random things in my life...Â
Iâm just very terrible at updating it.Â

So apparently last year the National Park Service in the US dropped an over 1200 page study of LGBTQ American History as part of their Who We Are program which includes studies on African-American history, Latino history, and Indigenous history.Â
Like. This is awesome. But also it feels very surreal that maybe one of the most comprehensive examinations of LGBTQ history in America (it covers sports! art! race! historical sites! health! cities!) was just casually done by the parks service.Â
This is really great??

This is for oppressorplutonium who yesterday asked us:Â How long does it usually take to create an animated cg 3d movie? I found this image The Alchemy of Animation by Don Hahn. He put this image together to represent the time span that it might take to make a traditional 2D animation, not quite a 3D one like you asked but I thought it might help give you a better idea what kind of planning goes into making an animated film. On a side note Don Hahn did say that it often took longer than 3 years to make a 2D film.

harry potter, surprising literally everyone, retires from being an auror to make ceramics in a cottage in the hills. âi donât know,â the boy who lived said in a statement. âbecoming a potter just seemed right, you know?â

found in a physics text book
Physics majors throw a lot of shade considering theyâre still not sure where 95% of the universe is hidden.
My brotherâs (a graduated theoretical physicist) only response to this was âWELL NEITHER DOES ANYONE ELSE!â
My response to the questions posed by @kinsoliloquy :
1) Whatâs your favorite flower? What about by scent? I love the lotus flowerâitâs a huge symbol in Buddhism, so it has a lot of special meaning to me. As for scent... I actually have a terrible sense of smell, so I donât really notice the differences in flower scents. I just know if something smells good or bad. So I canât answer that question.
2) What was the worst book you had to read for English in high school? Isaac Singerâs The Slave. People complained about A LOT of books we read in English, but I always found a redeeming aspect within themâone that helped me like them all to an extentâfor every one... except The Slave. Wow, I hated that book. This might be an unpopular opinion, haha.
3) Most recent video game that you liked? Another fun fact: my eyesight with laptop screens is terrible and often induces headaches... so I canât play video games that much. The last one that I played which I enjoyed was way back in 2012-2013âit was called âOFFâ.
4) If you have time, make a playlist for your favorite book. If not, just name a song for it. Little time for playlists unfortunately, but ONE of my favorite books (because I have many) is probably Les Miserables. Jess Glynneâs âHold My Handâ might be a good song for it.
5) Were you a Warriors kid, a Dragonology kid, a horse kid, or something else? I was a Warriors kid, a Dragonology kid, a horse kid, a Nancy Drew kid, a Sagwa kid, a Dragon Tales kid, a Harry Potter kid, an Arthur kid, a Cyberchase kid, etc, etc...
6) What was the first scarring fanfiction you ever read like? It was a published âfanfictionâ by the name of Wicked. I was in the 7th grade. I was under the impression the book would be like the G-rated musical. One chapter in, I discovered how wrong I was... and how ill-equipped my stateâs education was for teaching students sexual education. But actually, I loved Wicked and I got really emotional near the ending. I found the take on The Wicked Witch of the West rather interesting.
7) Have you ever had a lucid dream? What was it like, if so? Not that I can remember.
8) What franchise has the biggest draw for you in terms of escapism? Harry Potter franchise, even if Iâm not quite certain thereâs a lot of escapism involved, but the magic makes everything fantastical.
9) Favorite gemstone? Jade
10) Favorite couture designer? Currently Iâm a fan of Elie Saab.
11) Any songs youâve been listening to over and over lately? 4Minuteâs âCrazyâ (because it helps me exercise, haha); Dreamcatcherâs âFly Highâ (itâs such an amazing song), & Hey Violetâs âHoodieâ
Because Iâve been off Tumblr so long and my circle of Tumblr buddies who Iâd feel comfortable tagging have already been tagged multiple times for this, I will just let this Q&A game die here with me.Â
Coderâs plight. [@badsciencejokes]

On a job application:Â âWhat is your preferred name and gender, we value diversity, so be honest.â Me:Â
I donât know what this means. Iâve never filled out a form that said that.
theyâre asking you to disclose if youâre transgender. legally, they canât ask or consider someoneâs gender in hiring someone, so they get around it by giving you the option of telling them yourself. if you âvolunteerâ the information, thatâs legal.
its like when they try to figure out if youâre poor by asking if you have âreliable transportation,â hoping that ppl will explain that they dont have a car without actually being asked. things like that.
its a scummy thing to do, especially in this case where theyre presenting it like a âdiversityâ thing.
^^^^ Never answer those questions honestly if you actually want the job.
My managers have personally told people that anyone who puts anything like that outside of just âmale or femaleâ gets their application tossed immediately. Btw if an interviewer asks if you have reliable transportation, donât say anything but âyes I doâ thatâs it!!!!! Donât say another word donât say you take the bus or walk or bike or get rides or uber donât say anything!!!!! Just say yes and that is it they cannot require any sort of proof of transportation.
Shit. I didnât know that about transportation but I'mma start doing it now.
NEVER GET INTO VAGUES. Yes or no. Always yes or no. Donât expound. Donât explain. Donât rank âslightly agree/disagreeâ. Yes or no that shit.
Because if you âslightly agreeâ or âmostly agreeâ its a grey enough area for them to reject. Some filters wonât even show you as a result.
Do not play their game. Do not give more info than you have to. If they ask about your personal life, never give your life story. Donât mention kids (unexpected sick days) if you were just married (maternity/paternity leave possible) or medical issues even if they explain it as âaccommodations we need to considerâ. They HAVE to make accommodations ⌠after youâre hired.
Keep your cards close to your chest and donât reveal your hand.
I think every tv show should hire an obsessed fan to prevent continuity errors. Someone to go, âwell that doesnât work because in s2e4 you did x so you canât possibly do y without doing z or youâll contradict xâ
