I did this for uni
so we know that fitz started searching for sophie when he was six and alvar started the elite levels and couldn't sneak away anymore. that means that the age gap between fitz and alvar is eleven years (because the elite levels start at seventeen). since fitz is fifteen in the first book (when sophie is twelve in human years), this means that alvar is twenty-six years old in the first book, making the age gap between alvar (elf age) and sophie (human age) fourteen years. sophie was five human years old when she saw alvar as the boy who disappeared. that means that alvar was nineteen years old when he was the boy who disappeared.
but then, we see a memory of keefe's where lady gisela tells the boy (alvar) that he should just go to exillium like ruy. alvar responds by saying that it would draw way too much attention if he left foxfire. but foxfire ends at level eight, at age eighteen, so if alvar was nineteen when he was the boy who disappeared, he should've already graduated, right?
so . . . plothole?
adding onto this: fitz and sophie's age difference is a year and a half (this was mentioned in book 4). so, when 6-year-old fitz started searching for sophie, she was 4-5 elf years old aka 3-4 human years old.
so alvar shouldn't have been searching for sophie by the time she was 5 human years old. fitz would've been searching for her by then
there's so much tension in the main gang that i feel like isn't being addressed. the foxfire lunch scene specifically where they chose to sit on either sophie or stina's side of the table feels very intentional, not to mention linh and tam arguing, sophitz trouble, etc
overall, imo many of their friendships are pretty strained at this point, especially sophie's friendships since she barely talks to biana, marella, linh, and maruca, despite them being considered her friends
anyway, my point is, i need to see shit go down in book 10. the main gang has a huge fight, they all confront and yell at each other for an hour to get everything off their chests. maybe they don't speak to each other for while after the fight
but halfway thru the book, they make it up to each other, hug it out, and maybe actually hang out as regular teens for a bit. then they figure out the neverseen's plans and have a big showdown with the neverseen or whatever. i feel like this would genuinely solve a lot of their friendship problems and help everyone in the main gang be included
*note: by main gang i mean sophie, keefe, fitz, biana, tam, marella, linh, dex, maruca, and stina
