Like huh? Jack is uncomfortable around Solar and wants space for few days? He wants time to think through his feelings?

Well that's a bad thing to do because it'll make the situation worse :) [ignoring that it's only this bad because Solar is expecting Jack to just behave like nothing happened and won't actually address the actual issue, let alone work towards resolving it.]

Oh Jack ran off to the nlaes dimension? Running off won't help anything and going there is stupid. [Ignoring that SUN DID THE SAME DAMN THING! Sun literally ran off there because he was uncomfortable around Moon, but noooo when Jack does it it's bad and not okay to do to try and get space because Solar can't deal with loosing control]

Moon made Solar mad at him? Oh great another thing for Sun to deal with! [Not mentioning Moon was trying to make space in the conversation for Jack to actually speak, and if Solar wants to be mad at Moon, that's on Solar, not on anyone else.]

Cosmos tries to get food/snacks [that he paid for] because both They AND Nebula have confirmed that locking away their powers increased their appetite? No He makes a mess of the house [That Cosmos pays rent to live in] because He won't use a bowl[???] [So instead of having a reasonable conversation I'm going to steal the food out of the hands and put it in a place where He can't reach, and when that amazingly doesn't work, I'm going to lock the cabinet and infantilize Him by implying He can't even open a child safety lock. Oh I'm also not gonna make any comments about Nebula doing the same thing Cosmos does.]

Moon says we need to address Jack as an adult/in a mature way? No I'm gonna make a snide comment on how we're not aging up children any time soon. [Ignoring the fact that not only does Jack not have a defined mental age and also acting like Jack is behaving like a toddler for, *checks notes* wanting his dad to give him space and to also address how Solar's actions hurt Jack. Instead he acts like Jack can't be having intelligent conversations because he's young? Even though Jack has clearly verbalized his feelings? Multiple times??]

Sun - Gets mind controlled and kills several kids at the daycare.

Family’s reaction - Sympathy, comfort, and understanding.

Jack - Gets mind controlled and kidnapped.

Family’s reaction - Makes him apologize to Dazzle for saying mean things against his will.

Solar - Blames Cosmos for Molten’s death.

Family’s reaction - They remain silent.

Cosmos - Blames Solar for Molten’s death after getting pushed too far.

It's making me a bit upset that SOME people won't even TRY to understand or see Moon's side. And no, Im not saying Moon is innocent. He shouldn't have lied to Sun or kept information. But I can understand his side. Also, im not saying Sun's side is unfair. His side is fair and valid.

You also don't have to agree with me, but please try to see his side.

I really wish they would actually address what happened. I know that this show is capable of great emotional depth and character development, but they act like they’re grasping at straws when there is still plenty to go off of, i.e., Jack’s trauma, Sun’s connection to Wither Shards, Lunar’s Astral duties, literally everything about Nexus, etc. I still feel like the move was pointless, but anyway —

During “Jack FIGHTS FOR CONTROL!!??” (yes, there are in fact two exclamation points and question marks in the official title), we see a very traumatized version of Jack that never appears again. His voice is shaky and he appears to harbor a lot of guilt over the people he killed. He repeatedly tells Solar that he’s scared and even initially tells him to go away because he doesn’t want to be forced to hurt him. Then, in “The TRUE DEATH of the Creator! In VRChat”, Jack apparently loses some of his memories from the event? They left it very unclear, as if the writers intentionally wanted to be able to ignore what happened if they so desired. A lot of us fans were excited for a post-infection arc, so this was a bit of a slap in the face, especially since we already got that little taste of it earlier.

Part of me wonders if the writers are scared of Jack being too “out of character”, since the fandom loves him as a silly little dude. Maybe they think that Jack feeling guilty or being less inclined to violence would make him fundamentally different? I remember watching the Jaq, Jack, and Jackie trilogy and thinking “why is Jack so on board with the idea of killing the Wet Floor Bot and attacking that random guy? Wasn’t this sort of stuff exactly what the Creator forced him to do? Doesn’t he regret all that?” It was less fun to watch and more confusing.

My gosh, I hope they’re planning a breakdown, too. It’s certainly not too late to show how the infection arc affects Jack; not at all. There are still reasonable explanations for how he’s been acting so far: it’s possible that Jack is avoiding addressing or even thinking about what happened. Like you said, he constantly exhibits behaviors that are akin to distracting himself, like with the sponges, cats, or plushie (though it is perfectly fine if those are just examples of the way he is). It’s possible that Jack doesn’t feel like the family would listen to or even care about his experiences, considering how often they dismiss him due to his quirks or intelligence level. It could lead to a very interesting arc!

Jack knows he’s a burden, and he doesn’t want to add to that by having everyone else worry about his mental state. he’s supposed to be the happiest in the room, the dumb child who only knows how to cause laughter and headaches, not have people worry about him. so he has to pretend.

His dad is stressed with fixing him, Sun and Moon are worrying about Nexus, Monty doesn’t like him, Earth rarely acknowledges him, Dazzle doesn’t like him, Lunar is in space and doesn’t acknowledge him, Molten doesn’t know much about feelings nor how to keep a secret, and Jaq and Jackie don’t seem to fully grasp the extent of sadness— he has no one to turn too. He’s backed into a corner and decides that keeping quiet is the best option.

Anyway, a few headcannons for post-infection!Jack

Jack has shown he’s pretty insecure, and he’d also mentioned he accidentally hurt a homeless person because they startled him, so i think it’s pretty reasonable that jack may have a fear of hurting dazzle. so, i say he’d probably avoid dazzle at all costs, even if after she forgives him, just in case the infection starts back up again and he hurts her.

The house has a lake nearby (visible from the back porch). it’s been his safe spot since he was cured. it’s close enough to the house that anyone can check on him without even touching the backyard, so what’s the harm in it?

Sometimes he’ll go under the surface of the lake: it sorta feels like a weighted blanket, just all around you while all you can hear is the water swishing.

Jack wasn’t very close to Moon even before the infection, but now? he avoids talking to him directly, and instead lets other people take the lead when Moon starts speaking. (Yes, this is adding to the JackIsJonathan theory—leave me alone)

He’s developed harmful eating habits. He goes long periods without food, then binges them when he has a panic attack/breakdown. He steals sponges and other items he was known for eating to make it seem like he is, but he just stashes them away somewhere until he has another binging session when he freaks out (then he feels incredibly guilty and goes back to not eating)

Hey everyone, I have an important announcement to share.

After much thought and consideration, I’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to step away from Lunar and Earth Show. This means that in the coming days, I will no longer be part of LAE as a channel lead, and this will be my final time as Earth on the show.

This was not an easy choice—it’s honestly heartbreaking for me. I’ve poured so much love, time, and effort into this show, from writing and managing to recording and shaping it into what it is today. LAE has been such a huge part of my life, and leaving it behind is one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make.

Unfortunately, my schedule has become overwhelming, and I simply no longer have the time or energy to keep up with the demands of creating content at the level LAE requires. For the sake of my mental health and overall well-being, I need to step away and give myself the space to breathe. As much as this pains me, I know deep down it’s the right decision—not just for me, but for you, the fans, who deserve consistent, high-quality content.

That being said, LAE is not ending—it’s moving in a new direction, and while I can’t speak to all the changes ahead, I sincerely hope you’ll continue to support what comes next.

This isn’t a full goodbye either! I will still be voicing Earth, Dazzle, Miku, and many other characters on The Eclipse and Puppet Show and The Sun and Moon Show, so you’ll still hear and see me around. I’m not disappearing—I’m just shifting focus.

I am beyond grateful for this incredible community. Seeing LAE grow to 129,000 subscribers and witnessing the love and support from all of you has meant the world to me. Thank you for being part of this journey, for your encouragement, and for making this experience so special.

I hope you’ll continue supporting LAE in its new chapter, and I hope you’ll stick with me as I move forward into mine.

I’m so mad right now I’m stress crying

Sun…I love you…but why does Dazzle not know that Jack was kidnapped?! You better go fucking explain to her that something is wrong with Jack and he would never actually say those things to her because Jack needs his best friend when he comes home! You know, to comfort him not to say he’s no longer her best friend and she doesn’t wanna see him again!

And you do NOT get to be mad at Lunar because he didn’t even do anything! He couldn’t do anything because he doesn’t have his powers and you told him to keep his distance from Dazzle! Lunar’s been through enough he doesn’t need you to blame him for you not being able to protect your daughter!

Thanks a fucking lot Sun, you just made Lunar think all he’s good for is his powers so now he’s deciding to leave!

As for Sun getting angry at Lunar, I think it was less of him getting angry and more of him just getting extremely desperate. He now knows that The Creator is straight up targeting his daughter and there’s absolutely nothing he can do about it. He probably knows Lunar can’t do anything yet he’s so desperate that he’s just grasping for straws. Moon can’t do anything, Earth can’t do anything, Solar is trying but he still hasn’t succeeded, and Monty can’t do anything. Lunar has star power and that immediately makes Sun think “okay he can do something. So please do something”. I don’t think he should’ve pressured Lunar like that but I one hundred percent sympathize with him and understand why he’s like this.
