That I got robbed in a what’s supposed to be an open community. July of 2017, I started pursuing drag, and became a drag queen, or lady queen some call it. I even decided after hard thinking, of becoming a drag kid under someone I idolized & looked up to. After months of performing so many benefit shows, giving my all to others, shit happened. Lady queens aren’t fully accepted. So I reached out to a bar & got my “drag mom” and I OUR own show. We daydreamed of how it would be, and we made so many plans. We were like Trixie & Katya- or so I thought. After bringing up the idea of doing a benefit show for our local LGBT Pride Fest, that’s when things got hairy. It wasn’t about her towns pride, or theirs, so why would they want to? Why would they care? My city, has no gay bars. Theirs has 3 that I can think of. So I became the bitch. It didn’t go the way she wanted, so I was outlasted. Because she didn’t get her way. She even blocked me on social media. A girl I called friend. Someone I loved. Someone I looked up to so much.

You can learn a lot about a person while on the road with them as well. I’ve never met such self absorbed, selfish people in my life. It was her way, or the highway. I was just a prop. A prop to fill in at benefit shows, a backup for nationals because I had decent skills, and a good car. I was fucking used. And I don’t know if that pain will ever go away. You are a bully. And I get why now so many people look past you. I was good at what I did. And you didn’t like that. I stood up for myself, and none of you liked that. I was told that drag is all politics. But when I talked about drag outside of Springfield queens- it wasn’t about politics at all. I just wanted to learn, and perform. Instead, I was shoved in a box, told constantly not to do me.
