To make the position they were in more comfortable he wrapped her legs around his waist, hands resting underneath her thighs to keep her steady. He pressed their bodies together, kissing deepening as he just couldn’t help himself. Everything between them was new to Troy. That feeling especially. The one that wanted nothing more than for him to continue to kiss the girl he hardly knew. To experience that feeling more and more and try to understand it.

“ What is beer pong? Now flip the cup can be a pain and I guess you could say that I got lucky on my first try. But it is a  lot of fun to play. Playing games, in general, is good to do. I think there is some in the cabinet. It might be someone else’s but I don’t think they will miss a small glass of it.”

Ariel’s face light up when the cup landed perfectly on the table. Arms going up in the air, “ I did it.” She said with excitement in her voice. It might have been a small accomplishment but she couldn’t help but be overly excited about it. “ I don’t see why people say this game is hard.”

*jokes about making out with you until it actually happens*

He stood in silence as he thought her question through, not that he didn’t already know his answer but he couldn’t quite understand his feelings towards the situation. He hadn’t felt certain ways before and finally experiencing was harder than he thought. Not that he was complaining in that moment. Watching as she tried to reach his height as best as possible. Without a word, as he couldn’t manage to come out with any, he backed her up against the nearest wall before gently lifting her so they were at eye level. Finding himself connecting their lips almost immediately. 

He couldn’t believe it either considering how observant he was, name’s being something he liked to know almost instantly. “Haley.” Troy nodded. His gaze never once leaving her. “Troy.”

His arms immediately dropped back by his sides once the kiss was broken. Clearing his throat as he wasn’t all too sure what to say or do. It was unexpected but something about the kiss they shared caused something he’d never felt before. “Think this is an appropriate time to ask for your name.” Finally realising he never once asked before.

He stood in silence as he waited for an answer. Eyes widened and brows raised the moment she pulled him in. He was about to speak up, get the last word in but their lips connected before he could. Taking a second for him to return the kiss, hands eventually resting on her hips.

His gaze locked onto her, frown forming as he took a few steps closer. It wasn’t all that rare to find somebody who wasn’t afraid to talk back when it came to Troy but it still caught him off guard and surprised him. But most importantly it made him respect. “Why are you so damn insistent? Why the hell do you wanna be stuck with me, hmm?” 

“Join the damn club.” She wasn’t the only one who thought that of him even though a different word was usually used to describe Troy. His true colours weren’t at all his cruel and dark side, that was the side of him most saw. Deep down he could be kind and caring it just always depended on the person or situation. “I haven’t even agreed to this marriage yet. And I won’t, not until you give me a good enough reason. Except I feel it’s a little too late and it’s over before it’s even begun, so how about we go our separate ways and never speak of this bullshit again.”

Christian rolled his eyes.  “You don’t even know the name of the person you’re going out with?”  He turned to finally look at the girl and he couldn’t help the look of shock on his face.  She looked just like Natalie, and for a second he had the terrifying thought that maybe she’d come back, but then it occurred to him that she could very well be a doppelganger.  “There are a lot of things wrong with this city.  I guess we can add poor phone reception to the list.”

‘‘Why are you looking at me like that?’‘ Melinda looked up at the other from her sketch pad.. ‘’I thought I was alone until now.’’ She always preferred that since high school. She was just used to it.
