“Phah!” the sniper scoffs. “I reckon you’d make good bait!”

Fists continue to pound at the glass, threatening to give any moment now. Sniper glances toward the window, then back at the enemy spy, who’s squirming on the floor in his restraints. He makes sure to hold direct eye contact, before turning to leave.

“Bushman!” Blu Spy cries out. Sniper had already closed the door behind him. His calls become more desperate.

“BUSHMAN!”

Nothing. Glass shatters to his left. The window finally gave way.

Where do the mercs’ bodies go after respawn? That’s of no concern to them, according to Miss Pauling. They respawn, and everything seemingly goes back to normal.

The respawn machine is a technology to behold before its time. However, the Conaghers are still human- and to be human, there are mistakes bound to be made.
