So I finally caught up to the latest chapter in the manga
I know, I’ve been gone for, what, 3 years???? That’s crazy, but once I started working I couldn’t find time to manage my tumblr.
(Adult life is crazy.)
So anyway, I have finally caught up to the latest chapter of Haikyuu!! just a few days ago, and well......
I suppose most of you would’ve already known, but Karasuno did not become the champion, and I’m actually fine with it; in fact, I’m glad it turned out this way.
The story of Haikyuu!! was never built upon fantasy; it is rooted to reality, much more real than most sports anime out there.
For Karasuno to suddenly become the champion? Sure, that would be great, but it is not logical. Karasuno has improved over time, but so are the other teams -- teams better and stronger than them, they are improving as well.
And I think all along Haikyuu!! has been telling us that it is not scary to fail; everyone has their fair share of ups and downs, what matters is that you get back up.
I cried when I found out they didn’t win, but I would rather it be this way. Sure, success is sweet, but there are also lessons to learn from being defeated.
And just look at where the boys are at now -- pursuing their dreams, the lives they want to lead, and for Kageyama and Hinata, they even made it to the pro teams.
Now that we have finally reached the final arc of the story, I’m curious to see how this final match will play out. Whoever wins, I’m happy either way.
Haikyuu!! is, and will always be, my favourite anime of all time, because the story is so inspiring and so real. There is much to learn from all the characters.

Hi! I am done with translating the chapters from the novels that I managed to get my hands on, and owing to the fact that I’ll busy with work very soon, I don’t think I’ll be doing the translations anytime soon. Sorry!
