—INTRODUCTION:

As the Ghost of Hallownest kindled the lanterns of an ancient Flame, they ventured forth to meet the Master of the Troupe, whose ties to the fallen kingdom ran deep.

The Troupe once entered Hallownest as a humble traveling spectacle, performing before its denizens with unwavering devotion, until word of their arrival reached the King.

A meeting was arranged— where two ancient deities would stand before one another, and where their ideologies were laid bare.

The post will keep getting updated as the progress of the story is proceeded.

I have long imagined the Void as being unbearably cold. The eeriness of the Abyss makes me feel as though the place itself is freezing, much like the immense chill of deep caverns. In contrast, the Nightmare is searingly hot.

The idea of these two opposing elements meeting feels as though it would backfire on their bearers.

Knowing Ghost cannot express pain, I've chosen instead to portray that suffering through Grimm, as the two of them endure the shock of such an extreme thermal clash.

I'm late to realize my mistake—I drew the paneling in a way that isn't read like a traditional Japanese manga, from right to left, but rather from left to right.

Despite the comic following manga conventions, I'm unsure whether I should fix this mistake or continue with this reading direction.

Pale king's methods of distancing Hollow from others by instilling the belief that they were not a person.

He would reach out, guiding Hollow's hand to his chest, where a heartbeat answered beneath the shell.

The Void neither breathed nor carried a pulse, and eventually— the lessons became deeply ingrained that Hollow no longer recognized it as cruelty.

I tried to figure out how to make the linework look like she is bright. Just like the Pale King, I have avoided giving her shadows for that sole purpose— but it still feels like something is missing.
