To truly understand FGO Camelot you have to follow the game lore and its characters protrayal . Camelots movies are heavily derivative even from the characters themselves in the game . I’ll talk about mordred since they are my favorite ( have been rent free in my mind for 5 years now and i still dig fate content for them )

For example Just like how The lion king was absolutely different and had certain aspect written just for this singularity . Mordred is the same . What mordred did there is ooc for the actual fgo mordred who already has established values and opinions regarding their past and what wouldn’t they do no matter what . Rejoining the kort again is something they refuse to do and consider it as too late . However in the movie we have seen a glimpse of ‘ what if ‘ and ‘ guilt ‘ . that was just a version like the Lion king . But that’s not the real mordred . Funnily enough this is something i have just realized now after reading certain event dialogue .
