Mitchell in Being Human 2x8
Realistically, Michael knows that even if Ashlynn leaves now and gets herself clear of the incoming law enforcement, the chances that he will escape them are slim to none, even for him. They have been catching up to the couple easier lately, and with the alarm coming from Smith's Grove, it isn't likely they will only dispatch one or two units. They will know what they are coming for, and they will send out the calvary in an attempt to stop the unstoppable. The only way to avoid them would be to leave at this exact moment, as he has instructed the mutant to do, but Michael . . . Michael cannot leave yet. He has to finish what was started so many years ago on that fateful Halloween night, when a child with a knife became the famed Shape of Haddonfield. He has to deal with Loomis . . . no matter the cost.
Thankfully, at least, Ashlynn does not argue with his request for her to leave, and when she presses her lips to his, it takes everything in him not to drop Loomis and pull her back in for a longer kiss. This could be the last time the pair ever see one another, and he wants to savor that, but he knows he can't. He has to let her leave to at least give her a fighting chance to escape, and as she steps through the door, he almost feels his heart skip a beat with uncertainty of his plan. Dark eyes linger on the empty doorway, her footfalls retreating down the hallway, and a heavy breath escapes Michael's lips.
And then, Loomis speaks.
" . . . So I was wrong," he strains, but gleefully. "You do love her. Impressive, really, that the embodiment of evil can feel anything at all, but not entirely unbelievable. If only I was able to stu--" His words are cut off as he is tossed into the floor with a thud, vision blurring. He expected worse, but the pain still radiates through his body before he realizes he is being dragged through a literal hallway of blood and towards the elevator, eyes widening. He struggles, but is ultimately unable to escape The Shape's grip.
"Michael, think about what you are doing! You can escape to be with her if you leave now! You love her, do you not? Go and be with her!" He recognizes he is nearly pleading in his own way, but he does not care as survival instincts have begun to kick in. "Michael, stop it!"
The elevator doors open, and in the pair go. As the doors slide closed, Loomis falls silent for a moment, staring into nothingness as he reflects on his years with Myers. They have spent most of Loomis' later years and nearly all of Michael's life together, and during that time he has never seen the emotion displayed here tonight. For twenty years, he had assumed it was not something his patient was capable of, given as he had stabbed his sister nearly seventeen times in the chest at only six years old. He had spent years pleading with everyone else to keep Michael locked away so that no one else would get hurt, and even more years trying to convince the state he did not deserve to breathe the air they provided him. All he had ever seen was what was presented to him: pure evil. But now that he has seen Michael express concern and his own twisted form of love for Ashlynn Kruger, he wonders if, just maybe, he had been wrong to think there was nothing left inside the boy but darkness.
The doors slide open with a 'ding', and Loomis is snapped from his thoughts, eyes blinking rapidly to try and bring his surroundings into view. The room is dark and hot, with a small light coming from the left corner, and as he is dragged closer, he realizes where Michael has brought him.
The boiler room.
"Michael . . ." Panic bleeds into his tone, fingers clawing at those around his ankle. "Michael, please. You don't want to do this. I can still help you, both of you!" He struggles more, but to no avail. He is dragged across the floor with ease and dropped in front of the boiler, given only a moment to catch his breath. For a moment, he looses sight of Michael and attempts to stand, but as he grabs hold of the pipes, he recoils with a hiss, cradling his burned hand to his chest as Michael steps back into view, holding a large chain that he has already hooked onto the piping. It is then that Loomis finally realizes what is intended, and full panic sets in as he tries to scramble to his feet, ignoring the burn in an attempt to use the wall to aid his escape.
Of course, it is pointless, and Michael knocks the good doctor back to the ground before wrapping the chain around his ankle, securing it, and stepping back to take a final glance at the man that raised him. He feels no remorse for what he is about to do, but for a moment, he hesitates, simply staring at Loomis before reaching for the controls and turning the knob. The pressure begins to build instantly, and he steps back, preparing to leave. He knows that Ashlynn expected him to do this himself, and while he has no problem leaving Loomis to his fiery fate . . . he cannot do it himself. This man raised him, after all, and while Judith was easy to dispatch, Loomis is not Judith.
"MICHAEL!" The man's voice echoes as Michael finally turns his back and begins to exit, ignoring the squealing of the boiler. "DON'T LEAVE ME HERE! MICHAEL!!!"
Loomis' screams echo in the empty room, falling on deaf ears. Michael is already gone, and the doctor has no escape. He begins to claw at the chain, twisting his foot to try and slide it free. For a moment, he nearly succeeds, but the boiler begins to shake, and in his panic, he jerks too heard and feels a sickening snap, pained scream filling the room.
He is trapped, and Michael Myers is gone.
"MICHAEL!" One last attempt, chain yanked on, and then he hears it; the telling hiss of the boiler he is chained too. He has no time to escape, and no way to.
Seconds begin to tick down, temperature rising . . .
tick, tock . . .
. . . tick tock
tick tock . . .
. . . and soon the time has run out. The pressure has built too quickly and too high, and with a final, terrifying belch of fire, the boiler explodes, taking the basement and the remainder of the hospital with it. The police in the parking lot about to enter the building are thrown back onto their cars as a fireball shoots nearly a mile into the sky, igniting the nearby trees and illuminating the night with a bright orange hue, eerily similar to a pumpkin on Halloween night. For a moment, one of the officers left standing almost sees the face of something evil within the flames, but it vanishes as realization settles in.
Smith's Grove Sanitarium is gone.

I don't know why Steve said Bucky was taking the stupid with him when, if this rewatch has taught me anything its that they definitely had enough stupid to share

So I did some thinking about this scene.
There was trust between Ayo and Bucky. She read his trigger words. She called him White Wolf when she first saw him at the beginning of ep 4.
āEight hours, White Wolf.ā
Note that she also warned him and give him 8 hours. She couldāve easily just attacked the home that him, Sam, and Zemo were staying at but she didnāt. She trusted Bucky and listened to what he had to say first.
Ayo opened up to him and expressed the deep personal shame that Zemo had brought to herself as a member of the Dora Milaje, appointed by TāChaka. Nevertheless, she gave him a heads up despite the fact that he was running around with her kingās murderer.
So when he interfered in the fight she disarmed him as Zemo got away. I believe she said:
āBast damn you, James.ā
I think that means: āGod damn you.ā
He betrayed her trust and she called him James not White Wolf. That aināt good, bro.
I think itās also important to note that as a warrior of the Dora Milaje she donāt give a shit if he a sad boy or her friend. Okoye dropped her man so quick for Wakanda in the Black Panther movie. So, Iām NOT surprised that Ayo did this as Wakanda always comes first.
Bucky is shocked that they could do that to him. You know, take his arm off. But to Ayo, Bucky in this moment is a means to an end (like Zemo is for him). Now he knows and recognizes how it feels and what those words mean. All she wants is Zemo for killing her king.
Sheās sat with this shame and guilt for 7 years. That is, if she didnāt blip out then it would be 2.5 years and would still be quite fresh. Iām also pretty sure she was at the UN when it happened because she accompanied her new king, TāChalla, in Berlin afterwards in Civil War. So this hurts.
So yeah, oh no Buckyās autonomy... but the man had it coming. Sam straight up told him that theyād be hella mad in ep 3. Wakanda helped his ass even though they didnāt have to and he let the man that murdered their King free...
However, I understand Buckyās behavior. He is desperate, trying to grasp onto some semblance of himself. He lost Steve, his final attachment to his former self. So, seeing Walker with Samās shield and the rise of super soldiers has him acting way out of line. Sam points this out in ep 3 when Bucky wants to break Zemo out of prison:
"I've been on the wrong side of that code and so have you. He blew up the UN, he killed King T'Chaka and framed you for it. Did you forget that? You think the Wakandans forgot about it? It's a rhetorical question. They didn't.ā
"I know why this matters to you but c'mon... it's pushing you off the deep end."
Then his dumb ass does it anyways and breaks Zemo out of prison. But thatās how desperate he is. Thatās how much the shield means to him. Steve saved his life just as much as Wakanda did, if not more. He wants to protect and preserve Steveās legacy now. Thatās his sole purpose. However, now he faces the consequences of his actions.
Also, she left that shit. She left the arm. A multibillion dollar Vibranian arm. So sheās mad that after everything and the warning that he didnāt take her side. But since she left it thereās still hope for reconciliation!
So I understand both sides of why this happened.
would love some feedback :))
