Meet my OC Artsy! (Posted it again bc I kinda finished her lol)

Artsy is a traumatized artist who mistakes pain for love because of her childhood. She enters the Digital Circus believing she'll finally find somewhere she belongs... but abstracts believing she was never worth loving

Full lore:
Before she was Artsy, her name was Sheela Pascual.
She grew up in an abusive household where she was taught that pain was love and obedience was survival. When her younger brother (Gab) was born, she was mostly ignored except when someone needed someone to blame.
At school, she was bullied. At home, things weren't much better.
Her only comfort was her arts and stuffed dog named Doggie, a gift from her father. She cried into its fur so many nights that she eventually started imagining it talking to her. For years, Doggie felt like her only friend.
As she got older, she finally found real friends and started healing. But after her parents divorced, she was forced to live with her abusive mother again. Things became even worse when her mother remarried an abusive man.
Years of fear, pain, and anger eventually reached a breaking point.
Sheela stopped being afraid of her mother.
That night, something irreversible happened. She killed her mother because of an argument. This left Sheela traumatized and guilty.
Gab, terrified, told the authorities, forcing Sheela to run.
She hid her identity with a hoodie and mask.
She wandered to a dusty old building and saw a cracked, dusty VR headset pulsing red.
The tag read: “DO NOT USE.”
She used it anyway.
Sheela entered 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘼𝙈𝘼𝙕𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝘿𝙄𝙂𝙄𝙏𝘼𝙇 𝘾𝙄𝙍𝘾𝙐𝙎, on the same day 𝙍𝙞𝙗𝙗𝙞𝙩 abstracted.
The circus was unstable, emotions running high.
They called her 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙨𝙮 for her artistic abilities, but 𝙅𝙖𝙭 despised her at first.
He believed she was meant to "replace" Ribbit since she came the same day Ribbit abstracted. He doesn’t want to care, and is angry that she exists when Ribbit is gone. He doesn't process grief well. He insults her and gives her messed up pranks.
To Artsy, it felt familiar. She mistook the pain for love, because pain was the only kind of love she'd ever known.
She developed a crush on him (I am not Romantizing toxic relationships and abuse!) she started drawing him in her sketchbook, waiting for the day he'd finally be kind...
She didn't try to "fix" him. She didn't cling on him. She just gave him space. Over the following months, Jax slowly softened and developed a crush on her, but he never fully apologized. Artsy is still unsure if he truly changed.
At 20, Pomni arrived on the day Kaufmo abstracted.Unlike with Artsy, Jax didn't resent Pomni just like how he did to Artsy. Artsy felt bitter, not toward Pomni herself, but toward how unfair everything felt.
Now 20, Artsy keeps her distance, still quietly carrying feelings she doesn’t know how to let go of.
She abstracted during Episode 6 after seeing Jax grow closer to Pomni. It reopened every wound she'd buried.
She never learned what Love was supposed to feel like.
She abstracted believing Jax had never cared about her
Her last words were: "I just wanted to be worth loving."

Fun fact: Somewhere outside the Circus, Artsy and Jax are already in love.
Leeroy (Jax) and Sheela (Artsy) were already dating. Sheela found him while hiding her identity, and over time, Leeroy slowly learned to trust her.
Inside the Circus... they have to start over. Sometimes, they wonder why every conversation feels strangely familiar)

(if you think her lore is kinda similar to Jax's, I did NOT "copy". Artsy's lore was created before Ep 9. While both characters share themes of trauma and guilt, their stories explore different emotional struggles.)
(Artsy and Jax's relationship is intentionally unhealthy. Artsy mistakes mistreatment for affection because of her upbringing, while Jax struggles with grief and vulnerability. I'm not romanticizing these behaviors, and I'm making a separate AU where they have a healthier relationship: The Amazing Diversity Academy)
