Hello Duke! I’ve loved your Au since when I first found it, though I am a bit sad I wasn’t there from the start, of it. Your work has inspired me into going back into figure skating, I am slowly getting higher in the levels, and your Au also inspired me to learn some Russian so I could understand what you wrote, I mean I didn’t get very far yet but I know basic words like: Привет, спасибо, нет, да…etc, I know more but y’know, basics.
I thank you for your amazing work of the Au (I wish I was as brilliant as you to come up with something like that 😭) anyways, it is understandable why you might want to be finished with it, I feel bad that people were treating you that way, I don’t think you failed with this Au ❤️
I will forever remember your beautiful work though ❤️ (sorry if this sucks, I’ve never done one of these haha)
Quick couple of questions though…if you feel like answering them or see this
1: Do you do any sports or have you done any in the past? I don’t know if this has previously been asked, if it was I missed it 😅
2: Did you get the Au idea from being exposed to figure skating and knowing it hadn’t been done yet as a Au or was it a random idea your magical brain thought up?
3: How did you get so good at art? I mean I’m sure tons of practice over your lifetime but did you do or learn specific things that helped? I would love to be as talented at art as you but I’m…not quite there yet 😅
4: Where did you get the design ideas? I mean I know they are all mainly simple and similar to the shows designs but I still do find them unique.
(Random bonus yapping haha)
Pomni being Russian is so cannon as well (I know this is random, and yes I know Pomni is remember in Russian) I listened to the Russian dub and it suits her so well ❤️
1. I was engaged in rock climbing and equestrian sports
2. I had an idea when I was in Sochi with my brother, at his hockey tournament. You could say that it’s all thanks to my brother.
Initially, this au should be only about hockey
3. No, no way, I was just "going with the flow." I didn't go to art schools, and I didn't use other people's tutorials. I draw how I "feel" lol
I've been drawing since I was 11 years old.
4. I don't know, it just comes to mind.
Haha, she's not the only Russian character in my au. Marmalade crocodiles are actually also them (but in Russia they would be called Tatars, we have a large variety of nationalities, so it's hard to call them completely Russian)
I know that it was actually wrong to make them Russian, because they are CROCODILES, not some kind of bears ahaha....but my brother sincerely asked me.
Actually, when I created them, I thought I would make them Canadian or American, but my brother asked me to make them Russian because he loves a Russian hockey team, "AK Bars", very much and wanted their crocodile team (CC/КК) to be the prototype of his favorite team.
