there’s so many men in these comments with wives and daughters doing the same thing- some of them even have the women they’re with in their profile pictures!!! It is fucking terrifying how males like can keep it under wraps in public just to vent their misogyny online and behind closed doors

very interesting how between the two, it was more often princes “getting whatever they wanted” while princesses had to swallow the bitter truth that they were family property and nothing more—the complete opposite of being spoiled. they were literally trained to believe and accept that nothing was ever about what they wanted. that they were not people enough to have desires of their own. aspirations of their own.

On my way to tell gendies this is misogyny, woman is not makeup and nails and lashes. It’s not “gender affirming care” it’s women being told all their lives they are ugly and their only worth is beauty, be so fr, it doesn’t affirm that they are women, they KNOW they’re women that’s why they feel they MUST wear it’ because they are being oppressed and pressured into fucking beauty standards!

Makeup actually isn’t something super fun n silly like it is for males! Women actually have deep and meaningful relationships with things that oppress them, like MAKEUP!

I think this is perfectly emblematic of what’s wrong with left and right wing in regards to women. Right wing takes the stereotypical misogyny approach- ie, woman are mothers, must be feminine, shave, wear makeup. Left wing changes it up but still says misogynistic - woman is when feminine feeling, ‘women’s’ clothes, makeup, these thing empower women and there’s nothing wrong with wanting to look SNATCHED!!

When you got to play sports outside all day but we girls couldn’t because of our restrictive wear and fear of male discrimination and sexual harassment, was it not your privileged ass that didn’t mind?

When we went to the beach and or swimming pools, it wasn’t you that only wore shorts swimming comfortably while I was covered head to toe in my burkini, still being leered at by the creep across the pool so I couldn’t even enjoy myself?

When our male cousin lived with us during the summer, was it not us girls that had to dress modestly and ‘behave’ in our own fucking homes while you played video games shirtless?

When our baby brother was growing up, was it not you that never changed his diaper once in your fucking life despite us being only a year apart in age?

When you started studying Islam just like me, was it not you that accused me of being blasphemous when I brought up concerns about sexism?

You saw obvious discrimination, you experienced privileges and benefitted, and you never once helped. I don’t care that you were ‘nice’ to me and joked around with me and hung out with me sometimes— the structure of inequality that you never cared to address is clear in my mind.
