@lovelylunathedemon sent an ask for my Hattercrow headcannons and I'll be glad to post them! I won't go too into detail about the romantic parts cause I feel a bit iffy about romance sometimes, but I'm feeling confident today. A cheeky bit of romance for you guys as a treat.
Jonathan is a very business only sort of man, and he's never really been interested in romance or much of the other rogues at any point. He usually keeps to himself (plus the only time he's ever met couples was when they targeted him to bully, so instinctually he always strayed away from relationships.)
Jonathan isn't one for labels, but if he wanted to research his own sexuality he would probably come to realise hes grey - Aromantic.
He's comfortable around Jervis despite their... Oppositeness.
They actually used to talk to eachother as friends at Bruce Wayne's parties during their pre-villain days.
Jonathan has most fun with Jervis during evil scheming time or when they're terrorising Gotham. Also when they're discussing topics he finds himself confident in - he enjoys that him and Jerv have a similar interest in things.
Jonathan will read Alice in Wonderland just to understand Jervis - he finds difficulty in his little references, but he manages.
Jervis is very open about his emotions. He often doesn't mean to, that's just how he is. He's just very expressive and will rant and rant to Jonathan about whatever is bothering him or making him happy which Jonathan enjoys analysing.
They both have an understanding of eachother. They both even have - HAD similar jobs and similar interests. Like their interests in literature and psychology and neuroscience and control. Plus, they both have a shared hatred for the same people for similar reasons. Jonathan admires Jervis for being so like minded as him, and the same goes for Jervis.
Jonathan likes Jervis's style. It's very colourful and old man-ish. Well he is an old man, but you know...
Jonathan is very serious about touch. He isn't comfortable with it unless he specifies that he is, and that's that. At some point he talked with Jervis about it as well as other rules in the relationship, and Jervis respects that to the best of his abilities.
Jervis worries at times that he has become obsessed again, or is too touchy and affectionate. He is an easily jealous man and often let's his emotions loose, and is naturally very protective and at times violent to those who distaste Jonathan. but when Jonathan specifies the rules of the relationship (no touching without telling, no intensely romantic moments - Jonathan finds it awkward, no patronising Jonathan, no relationship drama, and no making sweet tea for Jonathan. He doesn't like sweet tea) Jervis feels a little better now he knows what he can do and can't in the relationship.
Jonathan doesn't enjoy kisses. Sometimes he'll manage but the closeness disturbs him. So instead Jervis will just give him a kiss on the hand, nose, or cheek, which Jonathan is fine with.
When they sleep Jonathan is in the fetal position and Jervis spoons him. Usually Jonathan wouldn't like the vulnerability but he enjoys Jervis's hugs because he feels protected, with Jervis being a quite big and stocky man and all. So it's nice to wake up from nightmares to someone taking care of him.
Jervis cooks for them both. In a way, he sees himself as the typical 50s housewife, which he doesn't agree with, but he likes to parade around his house and feed Jonathan and whatever animals inhabit their house - hideout.
Jonathan is thankful for the company. He finds it fun and comforting, and although he has difficulty expressing it, he's grateful.
Jervis has sworn off obsessing over Alice. A march hare is more nicer for a tea party with and uninvited guest anyways.
Jervis really loves Jonathan, and wants him to stay with him but this time he won't repeat.... Past mistakes. Jonathan wouldn't like that, he imagines. So he'll try to keep his obsessiveness to himself. And he won't be an ass about romance this time.
They dance! They like slow and fast music to dance around too, they both like to do it. They also feed birds and... Idk old ppl stuff like knit.
Jervis definitely takes Jonathan to that Alice in Wonderland theme park (the one in Mad as a Hatter) as a date. Jonathan likes the dark creepyness of it, it gives him inspiration for later schemes.
They'll watch movies together. Jonathan will usually put on horror movies and Jervis will watch with him, although hesitantly. He enjoys horror but he hates when the jumpscares get him, they always do. Plus Jervis is fearful that Jonathan is analysing his fear during the movie, which he's scared will make him look weak at times. However Jon just watches the movie and makes fun of it.
Jonathan wouldn't admit to alot of people because he thinks it's a childish movie, but his favourite movie is Hocus Pocus. Jervis's favourite movie is Labyrinth. They'll both watch them together (Jervis enjoys when Jonathan will dance with him during the 'As the World Falls Down' scene in Labyrinth.)
Through watching Labyrinth Jon figures out that Jervis loves Jim Henson. He'll watch a bunch of Jim Henson films with him after that like the Muppets movie and The Dark Crystal (Jonathan likes the Dark crystal, that one high pitched voice skeksi reminds him of Scarecrow. He gets real bummed out when it dies though.)
Jervis will give Jonathan flowers as a gift. Jonathan appreciates them alot but most of the time he doesn't know where to put them considering most of his work tables are full. He'll find out where to put them though!
Watch Christmas hallmark movies on Christmas. For shits and giggles.
Bitch talk everyone that they hate, 24/7.
And of course, do the thing they do best - terrorise Gotham! Scarecrow does admit that he gets infatuated when he sees Mad Hatter in his malicious and sinister flare, and Jervis for Scarecrow.

At some point Jervis had a pet fish at Jonathan's hideout called Footman and it died. They held a funeral, sad music tiny coffins and tears.... 💔🥺
