This is not a unique take, nor is it a hot one if you have been around for awhile.

With the exception of a few key articles that buck the trend of click bait, most Kotaku pieces are reactionary garbage. The kind of trash that instantly reminds you of why you find other people's opinions exhausting. Its not that they are always wrong with thier takes, it more like no one fucking asked.

But that's not what I am talking about.

I just wanted to rant about how trash the actual website is aside from the content found with in it.

Now, I am an old head. I've actually seen how the internet has changed over several decades, so the fact that there even is a thing as a mobile experience is still magic to me.

But holy shit. The fact that I have to wait for this site to load in its underwhelming content is amazing to me.

I'm not on my phone's mobile data either, I'm on WiFi all the time. Still load in.

I'm not sure if its the annoying way that ads are added to the page or what, but even the comment section takes forever to load in, which is a shame because I figured the appeal of Kotaku was being able to tell thier writers they are trash.

At this point, I wonder if this was by design, as if the one person in control of the site functionality decided to try and save a few lost souls from that den of evil.

Mei has a new MMA style skin.

This should be a collective moment of celebration for Overwatch fans, but there are some that have sour grape syndrome.

Most notably, Koraku, who's ever persistent stance with Overwatch, is that Blizzard can do nothing right.

The new grievance is that Mei has a hair style that somehow is not typical of her cultural background, while Blizzard has yet to add a black women to the game.

As always, I feel like Kotaku has yet to learn how to push cultural dialogue. There should be nothing wrong about how someone chooses to style thier hair, yet Kotaku tries to marry this concept to the idea that Blizzard lacking in diversity for its cast of characters despite making some of the most iconic characters of color in gaming. (Seriously, Lucio is my bro crush, and will always be meta in my heart.)

I'll also add that Blizzard already showed off Sojourn for Overwatch 2, a character that Kotaku briefly acknowledges before continuing its crocodile tears.

Yay!

I have watched a few videos, but never touched the game other trying to fight the Asylum Demon on the orginal PC port, which was so broken at the time that I gave up.
