Gibson Custom Shop launch brand new Modern Flying V limited edition. Inspired by the 1967 Gibson Flying V (which was itself inspired by the shape of space rockets) they are calling the new Modern Flying V a sci-fi shredder with a space-age design featuring custom metal plating, the new Apex headstock carve and a shimmering prism-sparkle finish. The Modern Flying V is polarising opinion on guitar forums. It’s is either an “instant classic” or it’s “hideously fugly” The new body shape bears a striking similarity to the Starfleet logo from Star Trek. What do you think? Fender Custom Shop release the George Harrison Rosewood Telecaster – a very special limited edition replica of the guitar that Fender built specifically for Harrison in 1968.
