trees are very 🥺 because sometimes i’ll stand under the shade of a tree and look up at it and it’ll sway its branches about in the wind and i’m like oh my God i’m alive and YOU’RE alive. we are alive together and made up of the same starry stuff and standing right next to each other in this moment on this earth. do u feel it when i reach out and press my hand to your trunk? can you hear me? i think you’re so neat. and then the sunlight filters through its leaves just so and that lovely green color leaves me dazzled. it’s just very nice to be an alive thing next to a different sort of alive thing

Man I hate people who are like, super verbal about hating cats. NOBODY cares that you don’t like cats. Also I think you’re a bitch ass

all those self-care posts would be so much better if they didn’t include getting dolled up, putting on make-up etc. honestly in a society where women’s mental health already relies on their appearance this is such an unnecessary thing to advise people to do. like i get it, applying makeup can be comforting for some people (including myself) but why exactly? why do we never question why changing our natural faces makes us feel more confident, and instead just accept this as something that just is and can’t be changed? when i’m feeling sad or anxious the last thing i want to do is care about my appearance tbh. it’s so incredibly important and mentally healing to accept that your natural face without makeup is beautiful. and it’s possible to pamper yourself without putting on makeup. taking off your makeup however is the biggest liberation and empowerment. 

How the fuck has this site become so bearable. This place was a shit show a few years ago but now it's actually good and not full of instant discourse the way Facebook and Twitter are
